I think Lebron may have one more beast year, but those have to be nearing the end,,,.dont they? Hes a freak, but still a man. The old father time deal. Im just glad in my lifetime, no more decisions. Ill never have to go through those again. To hell with those Lebron summer decisions. There was just way too damn many of them.

I think that was his last year at a sick crazy level. He missed more laps than I ever saw before this year.

It would be almost inside for him to do it again.

I kind of get Lakers' logic... Those guys are headcases, but they have some talent. So giving them 1 year deals doesn't seem like the worst idea in the world. If anyone can make them fall in line, it's Bron. If those guys can play within their limited role, that team led by LeBron might make some noise in the regular season, and might even make it past the first round in the playoffs, but in reality the Lakers are sacrificing this season and are putting all their hopes into the next offseason. Oh man, Kawhi re-signing with the Raps would be pretty sweet :chuckle:

Kawhi is a weird dude. Maybe he will fall in love with fly fishing up in Canada or something. Maybe he will befriend Michael J Fox or Celine Dion. Hopefully Canada wins him over. Let LA rot.

One thing that might keep him is if Canadian companies give him endorsement deals. The Raptors are basic Canada's NBA team. The lack of endorsements was one of the reasons why Kwahi wasn't happy in San Antonio. If his endorsements take a significant jump, it will be hard for him to go to LA or anywhere else, especially if it's Canadian driven sales that lead to the endorsements.

They're not better than the Cavs last year as is. They need one of Ingram, Ball, Hart, or Kuzma to turn into an all star to be in that conversation.

Really think they're in that second tier of western playoff teams below Golden State. It'll probably go:

First Tier: Warriors

Second Tier: Rockets, Lakers

Third Tier: Blazers, Thunder, Utah, New Orleans

/everybody else

The Jazz and Thunder are on the fringe and could make the jump to that second tier. I'm not ready to count any team with Lebron out though. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a bitch out of the western conference until Golden State sends them home

You're more bullish on the Lakers than I am if you have them second tier. LeBron is really going to have to lock in defensively to get them there. I did a quick run through of predictions, and I got through the 8 playoff teams before realizing I didn't have LA in there. Definitely think they're in that 6-9 range. Have GS, Houston, Utah and OKC firmly above them as it stands, and I wouldn't be surprised if NO or Denver was a few games better.

I often wonder how much Kawhi is still affected by his father’s murder. It was 10 years ago this year, at his car wash in Compton. I can’t imagine ever getting over that sort of thing. Not sure if going home to So Cal would help or hurt, in that respect. Toronto is the ANTI-LA, which could be good for him.

Wonder if he and Drake will get along. Or he and the Bieber. Or he and Avril Lavigne. Or Alanis. He could be the super-big fish in the smallish pond. Like one of them two-foot largies that Kilgore used to catch in Summit Lake. Too bad Kilgore couldn’t eat them, since they had three heads. But Kilgore digresses.

I agree with your take. I have them 3rd tier as well.

I think they are more in that Minny-Portland tier myself.

You took my Canadien thing and took it to a whole different level. Lol, nice job man.

Agree. Hell, Memphis will be pretty good depending on the health of Conley and Gasol. Although LeBron could easily will the Lakers to the 4th seed and I wouldn’t be surprised either. I think 6-7th is more likely

Capela left didnt he? Cant remember where he went.
He hasn't signed anywhere yet. I could see him just signing the qualifying offer because there aren't really any teams with a lot of cap space left.

Gotta love the warm welcome from Toronto
