It's halftime of Game 2 and this thread is already long overdue...it's like we all forgot who is coaching our team. Join the mission to keep our pick! We need tank god back. And maybe @The Wizard of Moz can replicate his old Browns tank updates for the Cavs.

Start looking at those mock drafts, folks. There's a few guys to be pretty excited about. Hopefully one can be our savior.

Let's ride!

To me tanking implies a concerted effort to stink. This team can play it’s hardest and the rest will take care of itself. The only part that sucks is you’d like to develop players while getting high draft picks. With Lue at the helm, we’re guaranteed to lose enough, but we’re going to have to hope our young guys can watch some YouTube videos or something to help develop their game.

Confirmed: This is how my game is developed.

We have so many well qualified tank commanders on this team...

I wasn't a fan of the concept of team "windows" and of taking steps like tanking to manage their "opening" and "closing" for the longest time; for instance, OKC, whatever their faults with Harden et al, didn't approach their building with the plan of "waiting out Kobe's window," as it shut itself quicker than expected with the failed Nash/D12/Metta experiment, allowing OKC to open a "window" ahead of schedule.

However, whatever KLove said about only re-upping if we didn't tank (SVC hit the nail on the head that we're not actually "trying" to tank,) the team needs to do a mini-The-Process for the next 2 years to keep the 1st rounders; our "window" will open up then when BOS/PHI will likely not be able to keep their cores together and TOR may have to start their full rebuild if Kawhi walks.

Our team learns from close-ish losses like Wednesday and, assuming this valiant comeback comes up short, tonight, anyway. These are actually both "better" road losses than the ones against TOR and MIN last year.

Would be amazing.

Ultimately we want to position ourselves for having the chance at one more LeComeback.

You need to retain or acquire elite veterans, and he will be at least semi-elite at age 37 IMHO, to have a contender or near-contender in the NBA.

What? No. Our veterans are trash anyways. In a situation where LeBron did come back, the veteran signings will follow, just as they have everywhere he's gone.

Cavs should fully embrace a youth movement. I cannot wait for the trash heap of Hill, Hood, Tristan, Clarkson, Dekker, etc to be the fuck off this team.
