2018 ALDS | Cleveland Indians vs. Houston Astros | Starts Oct. 5th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't know, Clev was at his pitch count. Hard to blame that on him. The Cookie decision was awful. Having Lindor bunt runners over, expecting it to be a low scoring game was awful.

Our bullpen has shown time and time again, to be bad. I don't know why Tito kept managing the game, like we can hold their offense down though.

But, Clev was at his pitch count, so you're forced to make a move there. No denying he made some head scratching decisions, but it doesn't matter in the end.

Houston badly out played us.

Why are they on a mission? They just won the World Series! WE should have been on a mission.
We should have been. What do you want me to say? We got are asses handed to us. We are a solid team and the Astros abused us. So, I just said Astrid are playing like they are on a mission.
I guess I could have said.... Astros whooped our ass.

Yea the Astros were definitely not in the A.L. Central... Would have noticed them..

Do you think the new launch angle approach to their swing by Lindor and Ramirez, tinkering with what had worked for them for years, made either of them more exploitable as teams advance scouting caught up to it? Like could that be part of the reason Jose has had such a hard time climbing out of his late season slump?

I think it was evident late in the season that the approach to him was completely different.

Heavy first pitch strikes, heavy breaking balls early in the count.

He was so often behind in the count, he just never really got out of it.

Not sure that its scouting. You don't produce like he does over two years with the league having figured him out.

Confident he'll find it again.

In 20 years, we’re going to look back at this rotation+Lindor and wonder how we never won the whole thing. We were one goddamned drone and fluke Carrasco injury away.

I already look back 20 years and wonder how Nagy, Wright, Thome, Williams, Ramirez, Alomar, and Lofton didn’t win the whole thing.

I just can’t believe that Tito trusted Cody Allen in a close game again. I mean, how many times did Allen have to show this year that he’s done. He’s been straight kerosene since May.

Who else should he have sent out there?

We had no shot, I'm slowly coming back around to it. But our guys in the pen are just burnt, they're finished. When Cody gave up that HR to their catcher, I knew he was finished. It's been a damn good career for him though. I'll take it.

Cody's last 4 appearances as an Indian:

1.2 IP, 9 Hs, 4 BBs, 12 Rs

Man... Astros are just good. They are on a mission.

Man, the Astros won it all last year, the Indians should’ve been the ones “on a mission” after running out of gas in 2016 and then shitting themselves after being up 2-0 last year.

Astros simply a BETTER team.

As for being up 3-1 in the WS...it can drive you mad.

Yep, this bullpen is torched.

Literally just needs to be cleaned out like a toilet bowl. Keep Hand, maybe like one other dude. The rest can make like Vanilla Ice and get the fuck out.
