Meh. Depth move. Need as much as we can get with Garrett and ogbahs injury concerns.
 
Wonder how good this Smith guy is against the run. That's where the Browns really struggled when ogbah went down.

Complete depth move. Need atleat 4 DE's, and right now we have 2 lockes in Garrett and Ogbah. Means they might not be too high on Orchard or Nassib which is no shock at all by any means. My guess these spells the end of Orchard's browns career.

That is why you dont want to add too many free agents, they are expensive.

Also remember the 3rd DE will play around 40-50% of the snaps and be big on special teams. Its still an important position.

It’s important but I just don’t think he’s that good. Probably could have done much better in the draft.
 
With the Packers signing Jimmy, they are almost certainly out on Johnson. If the Raiders cannot find the money, the Browns should be able to offer him a mega contract

Cant draft every position, need some vet help even as a backup. 4 mill a year is not that outrageous, and if he doesnt work out you cut him.
