2018 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We are handing the ball up the middle into a stacked box with no QB run threat. Plenty of things we can try.

Hell, I'd try a Weber/Dobbins combo in the backfield. Or motion Campbell in the backfield to pair with one of Weber/Dobbins. Or go play action. Literally tons of simple fixes that I'd try before changing QBs.

I agree the running plays have not been drawn up that well. I think this is where we missed Urban over the summer, and most likely won’t be fixed until after the bye week. In the past with RPO you did not have to run a complicated blocking scheme because it was up to the QB to read the defense. Without we have to run more a pro style attack with blockers moving and setting up where the back should attack.

The other issue I see is Webber and Dobbins run a different style, and I think we need to be more creative how we use them. I am not a fan of how much they rotate, it makes it hard for one of them to get into a rhythm.

This is late but my reaction to Bosa: Nick actually lived up to the hype, which while many could have predicted I was surprised by. No reason to rush back from injury and potentially lose out on millions.

Would've been incredible if they could've played together. How long until they have a kid?

EDIT: Together, I mean, when will they have a kid together.

My buddy who is pretty connected to OSU football is claiming Urban is stepping away after this year to focus on his health etc... Anyone else hearing this?

As most of you know I am a Purdue guy and come in here in Peace.

I am in a weird position this week. Not only is my Mom staying with me and she is a OSU alumni and huge fan, but I really want OSU to win the national championship while Purdue makes a bowl.

I wish Purdue would have won the 2 games earlier in the season that they should have won so they have an easier path to bowl eligible.

If Purdue wins, do you guys think OSU can still make the playoffs?

Like I said, we need 3 more wins to be bowl eligible, but OSU needs to win every game to get into the playoffs, wish Purdue was playing like this from week 1.

Of course.

We were discussing this in the general CFB thread the other day. OSU can afford a loss...as long as we are still able to win the division and then win the Big 10 Championship Game.

The year several years ago that Purdue upset OSU I genuinely felt bad because Purdue had zero chance at a Bowl and we ruined OSU's chances at a championship. This year I wouldn't feel as bad, as we have a shot at a Bowl, but OSU is my 2nd favorite team, just distant 2nd because I feel if you don't root for your Alumni you have no heart.

Purdue beating Ohio State? Was that like a decade ago or am I forgetting something.

Yep, Terrelle Pryor era. We had already lost to USC earlier in the year though and Bama & Texas both finished undefeated. At the time of the loss, we were still alive in the National Championship hunt, but needed help that we did not get anyway.

They also beat us in the Luke Fickell season.

Was so absurd the way they lost that northwestern game earlier in the year.

But no, I don’t think OSU would survive a Purdue loss without some substantial help afterwards.

It’s possible they’d still get in, but the road would be far more difficult.

Already uneasy about this game, so I’m going to bet OSU -13 and let it ride. This is how I felt for Alabama and Oregon in 14 and it worked out pretty well.
