2018 Cleveland Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He is probably questioning whether or not he wants to put his body through all of the work. The guy had two awful years in Denver but he was a serviceable player in Kansas City. I bet the idea of coming back with a fresh start is easier to buy into in March than June.

Uhh...Baker likes to drink soda.

Hue Jackson's car...is green.

:conf (11):

He shouldn't drink soda. It is bad.

A car should not be green unless it is a Jaguar or Land Rover.

No love for a green Jeep or a green HumVee?

I'm excited to see this expanded passing attack under Haley, but I'm equally excited to see a complete defense. The lack of depth in past years often ended the season before it began. I don't see the same roster imbalance of previous summers.

The Jeep is acceptable. Wrangler or Grand Cherokee. Green would look presumptuous on other current vehicles in their line.

Humvees in any form are awful.

Are we talking about a hunter type green? Then I agree. Jaguar is famous for it.

Any other green that’s not on a Lamborghini can eat my ass.

Reminds me of the old Dodge Neon’s. Pretty sure they were almost all green.

Nothing like the start of another Browns season! Excitement in the air!

Are we including pickup trucks here? I'm not looking to buy a Ford F-150 living in a city, but a green pickup would be the shit if/when I move somewhere more rural.

He's back!

Any time I see a Wrangler I assume the owner is cruising for dude anus.

Gayest car ever.

Yep. They call it British Racing Green; proprietary colour. Brilliant shade of green.

I recall some nice green trucks back in the day (early 2000s).

My first car was a green cutlass supreme coupe.:chuckle:

I didn’t find anything about what the first team OL was for the mini session. Not that it would be definitive at this time of the year, but I remain curious — particularly about Corbett/Bitty

Edit:

Coleman Bitty JC Z Hubbard

I have extreme reservations about Coleman but if he looks like the best option on the roster to man the spot then so be it

Isn't this just following the pattern for rookies? Nobody, not even Myles Garrett, starts out camp as the starter. Corbett will have to earn his way on the field and Shon Coleman gets the first crack at the position coaches groomed him to play. I thought this article cleared a lot up for me:

https://www.ohio.com/akron/sports/b...nds-his-ground-in-battle-for-left-tackle-spot

It sounds like Shon has first shot and the respect of teammates, but the backup plan could be Hubbard to the left side and Corbett to the right.

I keep saying dont sleep on Tyrod. With better receivers and a more pass friendly offense, he can be a 4k yard QB.

We could actually have an issue where he has a great season and we franchise him with all the extra cap space and have a Brees vs Rivers type situation. It would be a great problem to have.

Bruh, Tyrod is gonna have a damn good year. Here's some info for those pointing out Tyrod's conservative style:

He put up nearly 3000 yards, 14 TDs 4 Ints on a team where his BEST receiving weapon was Charles Clay. Whereas right now, he's working with the likes of Gordon, Landry, Njoku, and we'll see what Coleman and Callaway brings us. :chuckle:

His poor weapons played a part in how many sacks he had taken last year.

And that was with their offensive coordinator Rick Dennison, who was fired at the end of the season due to his incompetence and 29th ranked offense. The only reason Dennison was even in place as OC was because of his connections to Gary Kubiak, otherwise he seemed mostly unfit for the position. Bills fans were clamoring for his firing, with multiple "Official fire Rick Dennison" threads on their websites. Dennison had a TON of mind-boggling mistakes, here's a few:

http://buffalonews.com/2018/01/12/five-times-rick-dennison-made-bills-fans-scratch-their-heads/

Now he's only an offensive line coach with the Jets.

Compare that to Todd Haley who is more highly regarded, and really good at his job as OC. He will utilize Tyrod well and play to his strengths.

I realize TT won't be putting up 5000 yards and 40 touchdowns. He's no Drew Brees. But he did 3000/20/6 in his first year with Buffalo, so I wouldn't be shocked if he put up 3800 yards, 27 tds, 8 interceptions with this Browns team. If so, that would be borderline elite.

Put up those numbers and I honestly think we might be fighting for a playoff berth late in the season. This is only his 4th year as a starter in this league - there's room for improvement. He is a professional and GREAT pickup for only a 3rd round pick.
