2018 Cleveland Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Isn't this just following the pattern for rookies? Nobody, not even Myles Garrett, starts out camp as the starter. Corbett will have to earn his way on the field and Shon Coleman gets the first crack at the position coaches groomed him to play. I thought this article cleared a lot up for me:

It sounds like Shon has first shot and the respect of teammates, but the backup plan could be Hubbard to the left side and Corbett to the right.

I haven’t any qualms with that process at all. Fans will say what they will about Hue; but I’ll bever complain about him not simply handing over a starter role to a rookie. (Unless said player is clearly better and he’s not getting on the field).

I think I asked on this board about Coleman’s grading from 17; someone answered, but I can’t remember what the particulars were.

Also, Derek Ward.

Dorsey was at the Tribe game today. Saw him in the section next to mine. He was wearing that same white Browns sweatshirt he wears everyday :chuckle:

I heard an interview with him and he says he has a few of them and wears them over his clothes everyday. Did the same thing in KC too. Dude is a robot, which is fine with me.

Dude it’s like 80-something nationwide how is that even possible

Interesting turn this thread took... Lol

Anyway, beyond excited to watch this football team this year. Obviously every single season we all talk ourselves into the Browns and hope that maybe they can win 5-6 games and we all that a successful season for us.. But this time around, it's different for sure.

I think having this type offense is going to be a treat to watch. Have we ever had this type of talent, even on paper? Only thing I can recall is 2007 I believe when we had Braylon Edwards, Kellen Winslow Jr, Jamal Lewis, JJ, etc. That offense was fun to watch - I really think this one will be even better mainly because of Flash and Juice. Great duo of nicknames by the way.

When do we see Mayfield will be something. I think Taylor does such a great job that we won't see him until the backend of the schedule where the Browns are either out of playoff contention, or they're in it and nobody will really care too much about it at the moment.

Really hope Taylor remains healthy and has the season he is capable of having. This wide out core with the trio of backs we have, the only weakness will be the offensive line I feel, and the like isn't that bad either.

What's everyone's thoughts on Callaway? Could he be that gem? I think the talent is there for sure, so as long as he's staying good off the field - think we will see how great he could be.

The actual thought of Gordon, Landry, Coleman, and then you toss in Callaway and a uprising tightend in David Njoku.. Taylor should have a field day making plays and putting up points for the Browns.

Training camp and preseason can't come quick enough.

I met Dorsey at Cleveland Hopkins yesterday morning. He was headed to Kansas City with his wife. He was rocking the checkered dress shirt and the Browns sweater was tied around his waist. :chuckle:

On a side note, he didn't have priority boarding on Southwest.

Any insight into why Greg Robinson turned into a bust? #2 overall pick ffs

He was one of those OL that was supposed to be a surefire HoF'er coming out...has it been injuries or work ethic or shitty technique or what?

All of the above.
