2018 Cleveland Browns Off Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Going opponent by opponent and counting only those games you think you are likely to win is the wrong way to guess your likely win total because it ignores the reality that favorites don't always win.

If you want to go game by game, add up the percentage chance to win each of your 16 games. That's your estimated win total.

Yeah, most teams beat a couple of teams they should lose to each year and win a couple of games they should lose.

Hell, as Browns fans we should know this, because our shit teams have split with the Ravens and Steelers countless times despite being completely terrible.

Got 2 decent years outa Nassib. He is a rotational DE/backup. Could we have used that pick on a better player? Yea, probably.

Convinced the Sashi support won’t die until every last pick is cut or out of the NFL...

The guy wouldn’t put a package together for Goff and passed on Wentz, Jalen Ramsey, Zeke, Bosa, and Leonard Floyd IN ONE ROUND in favor of a player who is now unemployed.

2016:
Coleman - traded for a 7, unemployed
Ogbah - starter
Nassib - cut
S. Coleman - traded for a 7
Kessler - traded for a 7
Schobert - starter
Louis - cut
Kindred - SS2
DeValve - TE3
Payton - cut
Drango - cut
Higgins - WR2?
Caldwell - cut
Wright - cut

2 starters in 14 picks. “Guy certainly did his job.”

I’m rolling.
Hate to break it to you buddy boy, but his drafts were at worst league average by any GM/league history standards.

Anyone can write a check buddy boy, what about you eating horseshit eagles fan style?

Deal. The loser eats horseshit. 5 wins ties. I have over 5 wins, and you have under 5 wins, shiteater.

Look, $200 is a bit rich for me. Based on the last few seasons I think 6 wins is unlikely but the NFL can be strange so I’m not going to bet money on it. For the Browns and the fans sake I hope km wrong.

Brave talk. If $200 is too rich, then make it $50. I mean, you are the one who said 5 wins max. Now 6 is unlikely. Wouldn’t you take a bet at even money where a loss is unlikely?

So scamper under the couch with your tail between your legs like the bitch you are.

You should just keep your money, Mr. Brave Talk. The Browns are taking some heads this year - you will enjoy it more if you can root for them.

12-6.

Nate is coming out swinging.

Someone better pony up, or just sit the fuck down and watch the resurrection of Cleveland Browns football.

In a sense did we make the right move trading out of getting Wentz, I think so, but did we capitalize on it? no not at all.

No.

Absolutely not.

I wasn’t even a Wentz fan throughout the draft process in 2016. I was very much Goff or bust when it came to the quarterbacks, but the fact is that I was wrong and the Browns were wrong. Passing up on a franchise QB is NEVER the right decision if you don’t have one even if the Browns had found quality starters with every single pick they acquired in the deal, which they obviously did not.

Sashi Brown and Hue Jackson collectively botched the Wentz evaluation and it was a supremely disastrous decision by both men.

12-6?
I will be you $1,000,000 they don’t go 12-6.
Put your money where your mouth is?

Look joking and name calling aside, I don’t gamble on sports, and I will remain a Browns skeptic until they deliver us an 8-8 season. Strange things always happen to this team.

Buddy boy, this is worse then Vegas odds. They have the browns at 5.5. 5 wins and YOU EAT HORSESHIT. 6 wins is a tie. 7 I eat the horse doo doo, enjoy your 16 weeks of shit free eating. Because 17 weeks from now, your teeth are going to be brown and gooey.

I don't get the Nassib hate. I thought he was a solid rotational player who could make a splash play here or there.

I think hard knocks was a disservice to him. He just didn't come across as that likable. If it wasn't for hard knocks, I think people would be questioning why he was cut more.

We might have been able to get a better player in the 3rd round but I wouldn't call him a bust. He definately was a solid rotation player at a position that requires a solid group to rotate in and out to keep guys fresh. I thought he was going to be the 3rd DE in our rotation this year. I was personally suprised by the cut especially how forgettable Chris Smith and Chad Thomas play was in the preseason.
