Because the Big Ten is more than just quality athletics; it's also about incredibly high academic standards... and Rutgers and Maryland are both "Public Ivy" universities. Of the 13 public universities in the conference, 11 of them are classified as "Public Ivy" universities according to Greene's Guides. The only two that aren't are Purdue and Nebraska, and Northwestern is one of the premier private universities in the country.

This isn't the SEC. This is the Big Ten. Academics matter.

That Corbin Kaufusi guy is going to be a heck of an edge defender. He used to be a two sport player, hoops and football. 6'9 and knows how to play. Reminds me of old school Ted Hendricks for the Raiders. BYU's right tackle Austin Hoyt is having one hell of a game in pass pro and run blocking too.

Didn’t catch or seek Hoyt’s name until you just mentioned it; but he was particularly noticeable for all the right reasons. Guy has his side on lockdown.

Was at the TCU game, during pregame we saw the LSU game winner in the stadium, OSU fans went nuts. We all like Joe.
