2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Dude doesn't look big/strong enough to play on the DL in the NFL. I assume he projects as a linebacker, and I just don't see us needing to draft one of those anywhere in the first couple rounds.

6'2 255 or 260.

His strength and quickness combo would put him at the Ogbah spot in this defense, IMO. But he's a guy you can move inside on passing downs as well.

Despite his name, I honestly didn't see extraordinary strength in his play. He came to school weighing 225, and he's now 6'2", 252. But that's still two inches shorter and 20+ pounds lighter than Ogbah. That's really undersized for a DE who needs to be able to hold the edge. He made some nice penetrating plays in that clip from the inside where he got a quick step ahead of the blocker, but when they ran at him, he just got swallowed up.

Maybe he fits as a situational pass-rusher, but that's seems a waste of a pick. Guy just looks to me like he's better suited physically to be a LB.

I'm looking at this guy getting up to 270 or so with that frame. His height isn't of concern to me, other than him having an excellent center of gravity on tackles which is helpful.

Have to wait and see what the arm length and measurables come back at. But he's a guy who is pretty scheme versatile to me. I don't think you're wrong, he can absolutely be a strong side backer in a 3-4.

Yeah, and I think putting a huge sum of money toward a WR at this point in the rebuild would be a bad overall move, especially when good receivers are available every year in the first two rounds of the draft.

I don't disagree about WR being available every year. However, WR is actually one of the positions I'd pay a bunch of money for the right guy given our situation. Would need to be a big, fast, stud WR 25 or under, but I'd pay him.

QB's and WR's typically take the longest to transition to the league. The breakout year for WR tends to be year three. If Kizer is the guy after this year, my plan would be to throw a bunch of money at a stud WR, take someone like Barkley with one of the 1sts, and use a late 2nd or 3rd on a WR.

With a veteran O-line, an improving D, and hopefully a QB of the future, the Browns. Browns need someone that's ready to take pressure off Kizer immediately.

We really do need to find an AJ Green in a sense whether it is in the draft or through free agency. We need that true number 1 that compliments who we currently have on the roster. Investing in a free agent WR sometimes is a bit costly, but we truly do need that true number 1/the guy who needs double teamed for Kizer.

The run game I actually think will get stronger as the OLine starts gelling better and better as the season progresses. The question is what is the price of Crowell going to be and is he worth keeping at that price? Is Duke going to be converted to WR with limited reps at RBs? How well will Dayes progress? RB though is one of the positions I actually trust more getting from the draft rather than from free agency.

How deep do you see this RB class in 2018? I feel we will end up drafting two RBs next season. One in the first/second round and another like we did with Dayes on day three.

I doubt the Texans would do it, but I'd give them their second back for Hopkins. It's likely to be a borderline first rounder anyway. :chuckle:

I am not opposed to a move like that to be honest. If the best available WR is one that is currently in the league then you take it

Though do you know how many years are actually left on his contract and the numbers?

Pretty sure this is a contract year for him, so it probably won't happen.

He just signed a new deal at the beginning of the year.

Davante Adams is a guy I'd keep an eye on in free agency. I'm not sure GB can/will resign him with Nelson and Cobb. I'd probably still look for a WR in the 1st or 2nd.

Far less likely would be someone like Jarvis Landry. Odell Beckham Jr if you want to make him the highest paid player in football. Neither of those guys are coming to the Browns.

Other WR that will be out there: Marquise Lee, Josh Brown, etc

I love Davante Adams in the system he's in right now.

Without Aaron Rodgers, I like him less and less. You simply can't expect that production given his inconsistency.

Would just as soon develop a Sutton or Cain.

Would absolutely still throw a bunch of money at Allen Robinson or Jarvis Landry.

Mentioned it the other day, it's not a physical thing as he's obviously one of the best athletes in the country at the position.

But he's a two-down player at the NFL level right now, which is what made Zeke so special as a prospect.

Saquon is a top 15 guy for me, but he's got a ways to go in this area to make him more than that. To be honest, this is nothing more than bad coaching.

That makes me sad, he is such an incredible runner.

Please stop posting negative things about players I have a man crush on even if legit like this, lol.
