2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
For me right now it's:

1st round:
Sam Darnold
Lamar Jackson

2nd round:
Josh Rosen
Nick Fitzgerald
Mason Rudolph

3rd round:
Baker Mayfield
Josh Allen
Clayton Thorson
Chase Litton
Riley Ferguson

4th+:
Luke Falk
Jarrett Stidham

That's 1-2-3...12 QBs which won't be drafted by the Browns, who have Kizer.

Sort of feels good.

Fitzgerald looks like a real player.

I hope Darnold can quicken that release. He may die in the NFL.

Also, our boy Deon Cain looks like a beast. Have to think RB and WR for the top two picks, IMO.

Cain had 4 receptions for 29 yards vs Louisville and a whole 8 receptions in 3 games with more than half of his yards coming vs Kent State. Not sure that qualifies as "beastly".

So you're convinced Kizer will stick? Or you're convinced the Browns will give Kizer next year as well, regardless of how he does this year?

I want Courtland Sutton so bad I could cry.

I'm praying that Houston pick is top 11.

I love his size. I can't tell how his speed is watching him play. Big guys never look fast. His 1 reception for zero yards vs TCU is pretty concerning to me..but I would say he is my WR1 at this point.

I really don't watch a lot of college ball, but Sam Darnold looks like a franchise-level quarterback talent to me. His team wasn't dominating, but he's strong-armed, accurate, and smart.

Myles Garrett already has ankle issues. I don't think we want him practicing against that guy.

Who are your top 5 prospects regardless of class?

I think Calvin Ridley could very well be off the Browns board due to age alone. We've had a bit of a sample size now with Browns picks in the top 2 rounds, and all of their picks are both young (only Ogbah was 22 years old
I don't think we can come to the conclusion that the front office prefers players under 22 in the top 2 rounds for a few reasons

1. Drawing it for the top 2 rounds can be an arbitrary line. Specifically for the Browns, we took Nassib with the 1st pick of the 3rd round when he was 23. 1 pick was the difference between him entering the sample size and the thing is we didn't have a pick at 60-64 or we very well may have taken him there. That's where that line becomes blurred

2. It's an extremely small sample size. Only 6 players total and one of them was a complete no brainer regardless of age in Myles. That's just not enough to make any strong assumptions on

3. I'm too lazy to look It up but my strong guess is there are considerably more players in the draft aged 22 or less than 23+. The odds of taking a 23+ year old in the first 2 rounds is probably pretty low just because there aren't a lot of them in the draft

I highly doubt something like being 8 months older than another guy would rule someone out for this front office. It would be pretty stupid to do so in my opinion
