2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why do you expect anyone to put any effort into acknowledge your points when you put zero effort into making them and attribute everything to groupthink?

And now we're going in circles and being blatantly hypocritical.

Let's just end the conversation here and revisit Barkley and other RB's after or around the combine.

Nah dude. I’m tired of this shit. Don’t go off about groupthink when you are literally contributing nothing to the discussion. I have been saying the same thing about Barkley since very early in the season at a time when it was very unpopular to say

But everyone of The “group thinkers” is actually going out and providing evidence and stating reasons why they feel the way they do. I did a fucking film slice of Josh Allen and why I didn’t want him. It took me over an hour to make that post. There are people on here that like Allen as a prospect that disputed my points with valid points of their own. And I respect that. They didn’t just spam the “groupthink defense” button.

All you’re doing is saying “scouts everywhere are raving, there are negatives to every prospect” without providing literally any substance

I’d LOVE if you showed some of the negatives of other prospects. Because it helps me learn about them and keeps the conversation going. Just coming in here playing the group think card and offering to do something and then saying you obviously don’t have time to do it after people say that’d be lovely if you did it is just weak. And it’s getting annoying

Bears repeating.

Would be shocked to find out that Gurley, Johnson and Fournette had 23 percent of their runs go for negative or no yardage, as Barkley did.

You can compare them to other backs from scouting reports far less in depth than the ones you've been provided and zero video evidence to support it, but it doesn't make them the same.

Barkley is a world class athlete and a flawed prospect who is NOT universally viewed by those in the scouting community as some sort of elite prospect on the level of Zeke or Peterson.

He is one of the best three backs in this draft, at the very least, and could have an All-Pro career.

Damn sure not going to find out at 4, though.

Hell, @Triplethreat , you could even use Barkley's outside runs and how he is in space to quantify why you think Barkley is an elite prospect but you are either too lazy or indifferent to do so.

Barkley's an absolute freak of nature on outside zone/runs to the boundry. Like maybe the best we have ever seen. He makes guys miss at an incredible rate. Maybe the best since Berry.

I really want to love Barkley, truly I do. But he is definitely not a perfect prospect, and to use monikers like "Best since Zeke" is so convoluted and boring.

If Barkely's vision ever improves, he could become an unimaginable beast that we have not ever seen. Better than AP, Zeke, Gurley, or Fournette.

Combine needs to start already.

This thread has beaten the dead horse into the ground and turned it into crude oil.

Oh, the combine is going to be great fun. Especially if Guice is near as fast as Barkley...

Its going to be a good year, a lot of big time athletes. Big year for safeties and linebackers where we will see freakish times from those guys.

Yeah I was thinking the Senior Bowl would make things more clear, but the Browns FO seems to be playing things incredible close to the vest

The only conclusion I've seemed to reach is it's Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold and then Baker Mayfield playing the wildcard role.

Looking forward to seeing these guys at the combine, such a great crop in areas the Browns need most.

QB and RB goes without saying, and have been talked about at length.

WR:
DJ Moore - Crisp, athletic route runner and big time playmaker. Could do enough to get a team in the first round.

Marcel Ateman - Best all-around WR on Oklahoma St. Needs to show short area quicks for that ability to separate.

Christian Kirk - Not physically imposing, so really must test well to show teams how talented he can be. I think he's an elite playmaker and seems to be the leader-type the Browns should look for. Very dedicated worker.

Anthony Miller - The medicals are everything. He's not going to blow up the tests, but he gets open easily and consistently catches everything.

Tre'Quan Smith - Freakish length, can he test out to match it? Might be the best blocker in the class.

Byron Pringle - Already 24 with a checkered past, he had nobody at QB at KSU but still shows elite athleticism and separation.

Jaleel Scott - Basically a small forward, but has a lengthy frame and could show teams he's more than just a jump ball guy.

Jester Weah - Underrated athlete from Pitt, but can he run crisp routes and show the short area quickness to be more than just a deep threat?

CB:
Donte Jackson - Aiming to break the 40 record, probably the fastest guy at the combine. Also is coming into his own as a corner with a world of potential.

Jaire Alexander - Top of the second round possibility, hasn't been healthy but has been a top corner.

Carlton Davis - Underrated, lengthy player. Can he demonstrate ball skills and fluid hips in drills.

Mike Hughes - Another possibility at the top of the second. If he tests well he could be a first rounder.

Isaiah Oliver - Colorado has been pumping these guys out with some success. Is he the athletes others have been.

Levi Wallace - Might be the best pure corner on Bama, including Fitz. Long arms helps him alot.

Small school guys Taron Johnson (Weber), Devontae Harris (SIU), D'Montre Wade (Murray), Michael Joseph (Dubuque)

S:
DeShon Elliot - Made plays all over the field, does he have the tests to back up the film?

Jessie Bates - Mocked to us by NDT Scouting, I trust their evals. Want to see more of him.

Marcell Harris - Another dynamic safety from UF. Plays well in coverage and is an excellent tackler.

Justin Reid - Rangy athlete from Stanford, another deep safety to compete with Nacua.

Marcus Allen - Looks slow on film, needs a good performance.

Of course he looks slow on film, dude is 57 years old.

Give the HOFer a fucking break.

Since this is my 1st post in the Browns section of this board, I figure I'd give my opinion on who I want at 1 & 4.
1. Josh Rosen- Now I'm very interested in Kirk Cousins and then going in the 3rd-4th round and drafting a QB. I think its a pipedream though. Rosen has maturity issues that are well documented, however he's most pro ready and has all the tools physically to be great.

4. Minkah Fitzpatrick- This pick can transform the defense, move Peppers to his in the box SS position. Minkah as our FS ball hawk would just be great. Denzel Ward, Calvin Ridley are other guys I like, you would have to trade down for them of course.

Bradley Chubb is another guy I like, same with Marcus Davenport, DE is not a position we really have to address though, Ogbah was a top run defender and when he went down, it showed that Orchard couldn't even do half the job Ogbah did.

Oh god. What RG said. When Mayfield blows up the combine and Barkley does great, that is going to be an "awesome" 2 months in here. Can't wait.

Welcome to the board. So far, you are liked by many based on your picks.

I can't wait until Mayfield throws the ball lights out during the combine. Hitting every receiver in stride. Rosen sitting in the background just grinning. Somehow a bird entered into Lucas Oil stadium. Mayfield is distracted, "How the fuck can I throw with this GD bird flip flapping all over?"

Rosen pulls out a football:

This place has become toxic for debate.

To think that if a guy has a good combine we can't talk about that because other posters think they suck. The culture here is becoming ultra poor.
