2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Or the game is just evolving to the point where not being mobile puts you at a serious disadvantage.

I don't think it's mobility as such that you need. It is having the ability through quick reads, quick release, pocket awareness, and/or mobility, etc.. to deal with pressure. There aren't plenty of QB's who don't have anything close to RO level mobility that excel. I think almost all the guys who come in the league with a lot of mobility actually tone it down over time because they learn other ways to deal with the pressure.

Mayfield isn't all that mobile, but he's deadly at keeping his eyes downfield and throwing on the run, and has phenomenal pocket awareness. Tough to lay a glove on the guy not because he's so quick, but because he just moves like he's got eyes all around his head.

That is a huge red flag. You can look up my history, but I never question Mahomes or Baker on Leadership or Work Ethic, my only issue was how bad the Big 12 defenses were so it is hard to read their success translating into pro's, but that above is a huge concern. That said, doesn't make Murray any less of an intriguing prospect, just adds to the intrigue for me.

I will say this, I am so fucking glad we are out of the need a QB rat race finally. Well starting QB rat race, we need a backup QB, but I am ok with that rat race, lol.

There have been some rumors about Murray being an asshat, so this doesn't surprise me.

Everytime a camera or microphone is put in front of Murray, he exudes negative charisma

The guy did the media rounds during Super Bowl week, I believe sponsoring Gatorade. Hadn’t officially made his decision on which sport he was going to pursue and somehow didn’t have a prepared answer for the one question every media outlet was going to ask. Super painful to watch

The Dan Patrick spot was a disaster

I don't think Kingsbury should be given any benefit of the doubt at all when it comes to this

This is one of the very worst head coach hires in a long time. Like probably worse than Pettine.

If he decides to take Murray #1 overall and move on from a Rosen I don't think he should be given the benefit of the doubt to let it play out. He was an abysmal hire and the fact that he has this much say in personnel is laughable

It’s like they’ve snuck into laughingstock status and no one noticed because Robert Kraft got a handjob and DK Metcalf ran fast as fuck.

If I am a team like the Giants, Patriots etc, I would really consider moving a 3rd for him if they are willing to go that low or lower on a deal for him. All have a good veteran QB at the end of their careers so that would be so much cheaper than spending a first on this years crop of QBs if you don't like them to be any better.

Arizona didn't have an OLine at all to protect Rosen and he is a rookie who is a pocket QB. You need a line to protect a guy of that style of QB. I don't get their thinking, but I guess the Cardinals new coach doesn't like Rosen.

I think Rosen was put into the worst possible situation a rookie can have.

I also think he needs to sit and learn and get his confidence back while having a older QB mentoring him. I think the Giants would jump at an opportunity to give up a 3rd or something for Rosen.

He can sit behind Eli for a year and the Giants won't have to use a First Round pick on a QB and can add more value instead.

Imagine a future Super Bowl of Josh Rosen and Saquon Barkley vs. Baker Mayfield and Kareem Hunt...

Worst possible?

Nah, atleast he wasn't force to work in a massage parlor visited by Kraft.

It may have been the only activity he is better than Baker at.

He has larger hands if I recall.

[Cue everyone rushing to defend Bakers ability to stroke shaft better than anyone, especially Saquon Barkley]

Baker's got an obvious advantage here as you'll want the smallest hands available to make it look bigger.

Or so I've heard

Actually its because Baker has proven to be able to plant the big flag in the middle of the large O.

OK calling all draft guys who spend way to much time watching tape, who should we grab in the 6th round to be our backup QB? What 10th+ best prospect do you think has a chance to stick in the NFL?
