Astros have won ZERO games since they were caught cheating.

Shady organization. Shady characters who do shady things.

They made me root for fucking Boston....

I was going to make a similar comment. It was going to be almost impossible for me to cheer for Boston until the news of the Astros obvious cheating came to the surface. I'll pull for the NL team in the Series but sadly I feel that both NY and Houston are better than anyone the Red Sox will face.

Clearly hits the top of the panel. Don't know why there's a disagree on your post. Nice catch off the wall.

To clarify, it's because I disagreed with him. I also disagree with you... which is my opinion, not a fact. I should have originally said, I see it as unquestionably a catch. Didn't realize I needed to clarify that my posts are my opinions. My bad.

The damn dress is blue, not gold.

After implying I didn't see any of the replays, I provided replays that showed the catch was not "unquestionable", "not even close to hitting the wall first", or "clear as day". :conf (11):

The red X probably came from me calling him bro though

Red Sox about to cruise to their what, 4th title since 2000? How fucking spoiled are Boston fans?

I mean, get a load of this fucking shit. This is all basically in the last 17 years. Why this good shit gets to happen for Massholes, I'll never understand.

The most hilarious part is how the Celtics faded quickly after their resurgence, broke up their big three...and were promptly essentially gifted another young up and coming superteam from the idiocy of their trade partners. I don't even...I don't even understand. The Red Sox can spend with the Yankees so they will always be right there. The Patriots are losing Tom Brady and Bill in the near future, so I can hope that they will fade a bit and become at least mortal. But now I have to watch the Celtics every year in the Finals again.

Just makes me want to punch a pile of nails.

I feel like there is a little bit of uncertainty regarding the Astros rotation going forward. They certainly have a willingness to spend money, still have a very good farm system, SP depth in their bullpen, and seem to get the most out of their pitchers but:

  • Keuchel and Morton are free agents this summer. Patrick Corbin is probably the #1 SP target in the MLB but I'd imagine Keuchel will be #2. Morton turns 35 next month. I would guess they bring back Keuchel but let Morton walk- I imagine someone throws good money at him for a 1-2 year deal.
  • Verlander and Cole are free agents next summer. Verlander turns 36 in May- can he continue to dominate into his age 37 season & beyond and will it be with Houston? Cole will be 29 when he hits UFA and while I'm sure the Astros will offer him a strong package, it's hard not to imagine the Yankees throwing huge dollars at him.
  • They have McCullers locked down but he is yet to pitch more than 130 innings in a regular season. Josh James and Whitley are waiting in the wings and look promising but how many guys come up and dominate from the very start?

Fuck yeah, Brew Crew. They remind me a lot of the ‘16 Indians. Hope they can get it done.

If Milwaukee makes the WS, like, there is no metric accurate enough to express how hard I will be rooting for them over Boston.

The media got their dream matchup. I cant watch that. Impossible to root for either team. Milwaukee was my only hope.

Outside of LA and Boston there won’t be much interest at all by the casual fan. The World Series use to be much see TV from the masses 30 years ago. Those days are long gone.

I never missed them back then. Now irs two big money teams with shit, entitled fans i have no interest in watching. Too many other sports going on now to torture myself with that.

I know LA is a big market, so fuck them, but I’m a big Kershaw guy, and I’d love to see him get a ring. Best pitcher of this generation, hands down.
