2018 Media Day

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This team needs a consistent leader.

The only leaders on the team are Sexton and Nance. Sexton is a rookie and Nance still doesn't have the game to back it up. Still, he can be a leader..just not in the true sense of the word.

I'm pretty hopeful that Sexton will be able to become one if he proves to be a good player.

Whoever is introducing and letting the players go from the podium just called Rodney Hood Larry.
Hood was heartbroken. Just said, "Aw man, that's..." and walked off.

I am so disappointed that we are moving into next season and the next chapter of this franchise with Ty Lue as the head coach.
Why?

What do you know of Ty Lue as the coach of a team focused on young player development?

As the coach of a team where the staff actually has the most influential voice in the room(as opposed to LeBron) and the team will actually run the sets and play style the staff has designed(whereas LeBron would deviate on both sides of the back on a whim or any time the Cavs trailed or the game got tight)?

Was listening... He said it was disrespectful...

I can just tell based on the way he has managed games for however many years now. He's going to run guys like Smith, Thompson, Korver, and Frye way too many minutes and it's going to screw over our young guys. He knows he could be on the hot seat if the Cavaliers start out like 4-17 or something absurd like that, so he's going to ride those vets to make sure that doesn't happen.

We're not winning anything this year. This should be a year of player development, and from what I've read and seen over the years, he's not the guy that we should count on to get the most out of players like Sexton, Cedi, Zizic, Nance, Preston, etc.

Would kill to have Blatt or another similar mind in here. Would love Atkinson, but the Nets seem like they're going to give him a big payday.

If you don’t think Sexton, Cedi, and Nance are going to get huge minutes, you haven’t been listening to much since Summer League through today.

Sexton and Cedi will both start and get 30+ minutes per game.

Based on their skill sets and how most of the NBA plays nowadays, I’d guess Nance will avg about 24mpg and Zicic about 16-20(but real minutes, not simply mop up.

Lue already said today this season is about Wins and Lessons, not Wins and Losses. Those lessons will be learned by every game meaningful roles and minutes for the young guys.

Trust me, I hope you're right. I'm not rooting against Lue even though it may look like it - I want this guy to be a good coach so that we can get the most out of the young kids who I think have a lot of potential.

We are set to lead the league in moral victories; just slightly outpacing the all time leading Sacramento Kings.

Rodney Hood seems genuine about his willingness to stay here long term.

He looks bigger to me.
Fuck. My disdain for him haven’t passed yet. I just don’t like this guy at all. I’ve never disliked a Cavs player like I do him.

It's not about me being a fanboy...it's just the fact that this was by far the best interview.

Cedi give such honest, detailed answers. It’s refreshing.

His puppydog worship of LeBron and the way LeBron worked with him and communicated with him in the summer help fill in more of the whole picture of LeBron as such a complex, but mostly good player and person.

So excited to see what Cedi and Sexton do this season.

Cedi "No Bullshit" Osman.

Guy is sincere and isn't afraid of not being viewed as a macho like so many other athletes, and like you say, it's very refreshing and interesting.

He is a treasure and I really hope the Cavs can do a good job with him as far as developing him.
