So, what’s Brady Aiken’s eventuality? Don’t remember reading about an injury and I can’t find anything germane to 2018 on him. Did I miss something here?

Was actually coming in here just to ask for an update on Aiken

I remember there used to be a debate as to who the better pitcher would be Aiken or McKenzie and I hadn't heard Aiken's name in probably over a year

I don't know much about minors but I was talking to a coworker who follows prospects, and I asked him about Aiken last week. He said he's taken longer to recover from his TJ surgery than expected, and he's sort of in that awkward phase Carrasco went through where he isn't fully trusting the surgery, so his velocity hasn't returned to where it once was. Hopefully he bounces back though.

Yea, I read an article posted in Feb of this year that his velocity dropped all the way to the high-80s when he was whipping 95-97 out of high school.

No one is answering the question: where exactly is he? He was pitching in spring training, still around 88-90mph. Then he juat never went to a full season team. Cant seem to find any reasoning abt his whereabouts.

Yeah think it was maybe 2 weeks ago they said he was going back out to Arizona and hadn't been assigned to a team yet.

The word in late-April was that they wanted to keep him in Arizona for the warm weather as they built up his arm strength

Tony Lastoria and Indians baseball insider was really good in my opinion then it went to shit for whatever reason.

Aiken is in extended, but to my knowledge he isn't throwing in games down there.

That could be wrong, but just have never seen him mentioned as actually playing in the games.

I haven't seen anything on him either to be honest. My guess is they are likely going to rebuild his form and in a sense he will pitch this season, but make sure his mechanics and body are sounds before they put him back out there.
