2018 NBA Draft - June 21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
How is he 18? His body control and handle is uncanny.

Also, Spanish Spanish is hard to understand. Watching those YouTube videos have scrambled my language circuits.
You can try slovenian. Much better :chuckle::alc:

He can post up. At 18 he absolutely knows how to abuse guards.

I really want us to pick Doncic.. such an easy guy to root for.

I don't really care if he becomes the best or 3rd best player in this draft, having a franchise guy that is so skilled and yet so humble and easy to root for is something that I'm craving for.
His floor is really high and he is the last guy I fear of busting out.. at worst he is a good starter.

His confidence at 18 is such through the roof. His orientation in space, vision and passing ability is insanely developed already. The confidence and progression in his jumpshot whether it's from midrange or a step back 3 off the dribble is huge and his rebounding is for real. He just knows how to position himself and he gets tons of contested rebounds.. he is a really good rebounder.

Now our job is to pray the Nets suck. PLEASE BASKETBALL GODS.
Lin out, wish granted. Good job.
Learning from LeBron would be amazing for him. About his character, as fellow slovenian I saw almost everything that exists abou him. His humble approach in the national team, but still confident and really a good company. I was almost expecting him to show of, because of his rising star status, but he did the vet move and he did what he had to to bring home the gold.
Amazingly old school basketball mind for this day and age. Which I am sure Cavs fans would appreciate.

Doncic is killing it, but I have to admit I am personally more enamored with Porter and Bagley"s athleticism and size becoming the TD to LeBrons Admiral in the 2017 version of the NBA.

Surround a kid like Porter with LeBron to feed him the ball and Crowder to protect him defensively and physically....the ceiling is out of this world...

I might be fine with Doncic in a scenario where LeBron leaves. I just don't think we'd be able to unleash Doncics full potential a season long as LeBron is here.

We'll see...Porter and Bagley will be on the court in the NCAA soon so we'll have more recent film to compare to Doncics current domination.

Yeah, that's the thing.

We all know Lebron is at his best when he cuts and plays off the ball.. yet he still prefers to play as the ball handler and dominate the ball.. what are the chances he gives a European rookie the reign to run the offense? can't see that happening and that's unfortunate. I just love Doncic

If Lebron stays I rather take a shot at Bagley though. We'll see.

I might look foolish for saying this in the future but Michael Porter screams Harrison Barnes to me-- i.e. good role player, shows well when surrounded by better players, can't create for himself.

He's just so stiff out there. With the ball, moving without the ball, on defense.... he's stiff... it looks unnatural. I just don't see the ability to gain separation anywhere in his game-- he's a straight line drive guy only.

He'd be great with LeBron, don't get me wrong, I'm just not sold on him being the heir to LeBron.... And I think that should be the ultimate goal for the pick.

I think he's way more fluid that you give him credit for. Also a better athlete and a great shooter. He reminds me of KD a little bit.

He doesn't have kd's length, but he looks like he possess guard skills in a bigger body like KD. Durant never really used his length to it's full potential on the defensive end like Kawhi or Giannis have.

If we get the 3rd pick I am more than happy to end up with Doncic. Ecstatic even

If we're at one or two, it's going to take a LOT for me to come off of the idea of Bagley or Porter

Bottomline, IMO, it's similar to 2003, get a top3 pick and you can't blow it. Unless you're dumb like the Pistons, outsmart yourselves and fall for the late rising hype of Darko. But Doncic is NOTHING like Darko.

I get KD flashbacks watching him move around the court. I do think his ballhandling is better, however, KD was more of a big that can shoot and handle while Porter seems like more of a really big guard.

Doncic is the beat prospect and it’s not even close I hope the Kings can grab him. The only players I’d consider taking over him are Ayton and Bagley but they’d really have to show. Porter would have to go 25ppg-10 with high shooting number for me to entertain him over Doncic

I think any 7 ft SG looks a bit stiff, compared to regular sized players.
Porter is an incredible shooter, how about the rest of his skills. Anyone watching him regularly? Is he more likely to have PG or KD trajectory?
What about Marvin B? More of a KG/TD or Bosh/Aldrige path?

Doncic had one of the LeBron performances, missed shots, not much success trough much of the game and then, baaam, rebounds, assists, shots, fouls drawn and game over for opposing team. He struggles a bit when he has a ball hog at the other guard with him.

Unfortunately for Doncic and Real, both Kuzmic and Magic Randolph suffered season ending injuries.
I think that's going to ruin his assist numbers.. both of them were big recipients of his passes.
