2018 NBA Draft - June 21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's got legitimate superstar potential. Big and strong NBA body already. Great height for a wing. Good athleticism. On his way to becoming very skilled and already has a very solid jumper and decent handles.

He just looks the part of a franchise player if developed properly. That kind of potential can't fall out of the top 5.

And in the unlikely case where he falls for some reason, the Bulls will 100% grab him at 7. Either way he won't be there at 8.

I think he fits well with Chicago.

Also, I think his shot has gotten a little too overvalued. It's been more process over results so far. Has never put up great shooting efficiency numbers, though takes plenty of tough shots. It's a huge question mark. Basis for his potential is his offensive abilities, but what does he provide if he doesn't have a great jumper?

Then the back issue is another huge question mark. It's easy to slot a guy top 5 and see his potential, but front office personnel's jobs are on the line with these picks. There's plenty of quality options in the top 5 that if I were in their shoes I'd have a hard time taking that risk despite the potential.

Where did you get this? this is wrong...

Porzingis has a 7'6 wingspan and Gobert has 7'9 wingspan. Bamba will have the longest wingspan in the NBA.

Looked it up in a Google search.

Such a hard prospect to evaluate...he had such a strong reputation coming out of high school as a guy who can run the offense and shoot the ball, a skillset that's virtually unheard of in a big wing before him and Doncic this year. But he didn't look like that kind of player at all in his brief college career. What do you do? I'd wake up and vomit every morning from now until the draft if I was a gm, lol.

I feel like every contender with the ability is going to be trying to buy a pick in the 2nd round to get this guy if he's there. NBA ready with elite intangibles.

Where is that from?

Question for the board:

Why can't Michael Porter Jr. have a Tatum-like rookie year, provided his back is fine?

He can which is why if he works out well he will climb the boards. Lower teams won't be able to pass up his high ceiling. Basically at 8th we take whoever falls

Several of these rookies could have a Tatum like year IF Bron remains and IF the FO mandates that that pick gets consistent minutes from the beginning of the season. Not starters minutes necessarily. Just consistent role, whether 12, 19, or 25 per night.

Tatum and Mitchell are great, but put either on of them on the Suns, Kings, Hawks, or Magic this season and people would be taking about their future potential and promise only. Again, credit to them and their coaches, because Johnathan Isaac isn’t having that same impact on the the Jazz or Celtics, but Tatum and Mitchell walked into very unique and ideal spots for them.
