2018 NBA Draft - June 21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is a very encouraging read. Makes sense too.

My only concern is...why did this injury happen? Somebody get this kid to LeBron’s yoga instructor, STAT. Gotta loosen those
hips up!

Sounds like he was picking up a heavy bag or something and that caused it.

If Khyri Thomas of Creighton comes out this year (long shot), he's a guy I'd love with the Cavs pick or a purchased second rounder.

Yea, Collin Sexton is for sure the best PG in this draft. He may never be the greatest passer in the league, but based on what I've seen, he's capable of making the necessary passes to hit open shooters or roll men.

He finally hit some FTs, 11-14 tonight... but he still missed some clutch ones near the end. Still don't buy into the 3 point shooting yet.

Alabama played Arlington tonight, who is actually really solid for a mid-major school. Mo Williams did the color commentary. He wasn't that bad actually.

Collin Sexton per 40 minute numbers through 3 games......LMAO

35.8 PPG, 8.7 AST, 3.7 REB, 2.5 STL, 1.9 TO, 63.4% from the field, 46.7% from 3 (9.3 attempts /40).

His offensive rating to start the season is 148.2. :chuckle:

He's not a pass first PG but his AST/TO ratio is incredible for a scoring PG. 2:1 is elite in the NBA for guy who scores at the lead guard spot (Harden, Westbrook, etc.) Sexton is almost at 5:1 through his first 3 games while averaging 25 PPG.

He needs to work on his finishing repertoire around the rim but his P&R and pullup game is ready made for the NBA. He's incredibly patient around screens, picks his spots well and has an elite pullup game already. Super willing and capable defender and that Westbrook passion.

I stated prior to this season he maybe wasn't the best prospect in this draft but he was my favorite prospect. He's just so fun to watch. Can't wait till the competition ratchets up here, as I want to see him at his most competitive state. So far though....he's exceeded I think everyone's expectations. Given his mid range game and pullup skill, if he can shoot it even anywhere near 40% from 3 on the year, he's going to put up crazy numbers.

Quick interesting note... Part of Louisville's punishment for their most recent scandal is they lose their Freshmen for this season - that includes Brian Bowen, a score-first wing.

DraftExpress has him at 38 on their big board right now.

Not sure where he will play now... G League, overseas, etc. Or he could just NOT play like Mitchell Robinson lol.

Bamba is going to be a special defender in the NBA. Dude has amazing defensive range and can really move his feet against quick guards. Plenty to love about a guy like Bamba.

Ayton may have a higher ceiling but I think Bamba is going to be a guy who can contribute day 1 for a team in the NBA...especially a team like the Cavs where one of the #1 needs is a difference making/rim protecting athletic 5.

If the draft was tomorrow, and we picked 5th, and Bamba was the one of the "big 5" to drop, I'd be pretty excited about it.

As long as we are picking top 5 we are gonna walk away with a great player. I wouldn' envy having to make the decision to draft one over the other.
