Doncics passing in the pnr is Lebronesque

Doncic quietly leading EuroBasket in defensive rebounds. I haven't been watching Slovenia's games, so I'm not totally sure how he's doing it, but that's pretty eye-popping from an 18-year-old guard. Can see him being a triple double threat on down the road.
All fair rebounds, no freebies. Great to see him putting in effort all around.

He is good positional defender , he knows when to help, when to sag off his man and when obgo for the rebound.
He is always in a posiion for a rebound because he knows when to sag and he always boxes out.

He does look kinda slow laterally.

If Slovenia wins this and goes on to beat Russia/Serbia for the championship, Doncic has a serious chance to be the tournament MVP. Dragic would be his only competition in that scenario, and Doncic has been better so far in knockouts. Would probably bump him up to #1 on most draft boards.

11&8&8 for Luka 3/4 trough. I should add my affection with luka comes with some slovenian patriotism.
Refs are terrible- all around.

I'm not sure what's more impressive...a game-high 10 boards (and counting) going up against a frontcourt that features the Gasol bros and the Hernangomez bros, or 8 assists/0 turnovers against the best defense in the tournament. Wow.

Wooooohooo blew them away. Dragic and Doncic did their fine play making and voila. History. Btw only 2 million people in Slovenia!

Luka Doncic is James Harden, IMO.

His ability to pass and change speeds is so Harden-esq.

Better defender than Harden, obviously. I'm a better defender than Harden.

I love his game because he so old school with his solutions. He can dunk ferociously no doubt, but those finesse moves are what is the most impressive. And he cares about defensive rebounding. Top 3 in the tournament!

Worth noting, 3 of Turkey's 4 losses came against teams that ultimately made the semifinals.

The other loss came against a Porzingis-led Latvia team that was eliminated in the quarterfinals by undefeated Slovenia.

They had a *really* tough draw.
