2018 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Rick Carlisle did that. Did it to NN too.

However you want to remember it is fine. The other Mavs' players voted to withhold his playoff share, so that tells the whole story as far as I'm concerned.

And THAT is why people were so skeptical on Rondo when he was brought up.

Again.. I really don’t see how the spurs could ever want Kawhi again.. no matter how amazing he is.. this has been a rough series for them.. on and off the court.. is he even over there on the sideline with them?

Never mind.. I just saw he isn’t.. lol damn..

This whole thing about players being on the sideline is annoyingly being overblown. He's rehabbing his injury in New York. He's training. DMC was on the sideline for the first time since his injury tonight because he was rehabbing in LA and was restricted from flight travel.

None of us know how serious Kawhi's injury is. He does. It really doesn't matter if he's on the sideline or not. People will still find a way to reach and make a story out of it. We gotta stop letting the media drive stories like this. Kawhi hasn't said shit, his teammates have flip flopped from semi calling him out to backing him. Maybe we shouldn't assume anything.

That still shouldn't matter though. For the life of me I never understood how anyone can watch this Cavs team at any point in the last 7 years and have the nerve to get picky on the character of any potential pickups as if we don't have the most drama filled team in the league.

Well you do usually want to support your team during the playoffs at home.. especially during a depressing time where your head coach just lost his wife and your team is obviously trying to fight and get the win for him.. but fuck it.. I guess it’s cool for him to rehab his injury for another couple months.. and when does Kawhi ever say anything?

Support his team? Nobody outside of that locker room knows how or what Kawhi is doing to support his team. This whole thing about him being on the sideline and making a difference is strictly coming from people who aren't inside of that locker room. Nobody on that team has complained about him not sitting there on the bench. Also he sat on the bench for plenty of games this year and nobody said shit. Why? Because this is petty and people are trying to make something out of nothing.

But that's not the point I'm arguing. It wasn't his character solely, though quitting on your team in the playoffs isn't going to sit well with people. He hadn't looked right on the court after tearing his ACL, and "playoff Rondo" wasn't a thing until last year. It's easy to sit back in hindsight and say, "see!" But there wasn't evidence on the court it would really work.

And he signed for more than the minimum anyway, so that makes this conversation even more pointless.

I definitely don’t think it’s nothing.. but maybe some of us are over exaggerating it a bit.. but there has been problems between him and his team.. so it’s not nothing.

He actually looked like his old self when he was in SAC. He led the league in assist, averaged like 2 steals, and had like at least 6 triple doubles. He was good that year and people were still making up character concerns for not signing him.

I'm just saying man for a team that has had more drama than any team in the league by far we sure do get picky on which players are just too much. As for what happened in DAL that organization has been spiraling downward fast the last few years.

My only thing is this. There have been reports that him and Pop are on great terms and reports that there's some tension. There were reports that his teammates tried to call him out and then his teammates came out and denied that. So with all that being said there's been arguments to support both sides so I'm saying we shouldn't assume anything until Kawhi either says something or the team takes some kind of action.

I just think it's a little unfair how people are using their opinions on what they think Kawhi should be doing and spinning it like he's really out there trying to sabotage his team when nothing has happened that would suggest that.

Eh, I watched him quite a bit in Sacramento that year, and it was borderline winning basketball at best. He was doing A LOT of assist hunting that year.

But it's whatever. I don't really care enough to talk about it anymore. However you say it was is how it was.

You could easily get him for Love straight up and then just keep the BKN pick and take Bagley, Potter, or Ayton.

Yea I'm not doing that.

Nor am I sure how we're getting any of those three guys.

One thing am watching the Blazers is whether or not Olshey or Stotts are let go. If either one of them is, you have to go hard after them if you're Gilbert. They would be such major upgrades to what we currently have, that I could see the team get the #1 seed next year with LeBron on the team.

Lebron will leave I'm afraid unless we make finals and our young players start performing to a high level.

Lakers or Philly will be his destination - Simmons / Embiid , PG & Kawhi are players he could be playing with next season at either of those franchises

I'm not sure how we can put together a better regular season team than BOston is gonna roll out there.

And I think that's the team we need to look at when trying to keep LeBron. FOrget Golden State, how do we beat BOston next year. Need guys who can attack Kyrie and guys who can exploit the fact that Horford, as good as he is defensively, is still small and can be bullied.

But right now, you're looking at a Boston team that has Al Horford as its 5th best player next year. That's crazy.
