2018 NFL Draft - Day 3 Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Do you see him as a starting outside receiver, or a guy they bring in on passing downs? I'll give in on making the team and coming in on passing downs. Of course, all that depends upon a few receivers. Coach Henry has Landry and then a mixed bag of mental issues.

Tyrod Taylor is a guy that is proven to be able to complete passes at least at an average to slightly-above-average rate in this league. If Coleman’s target rate remains ossified and he still isn’t doing much after the catch then I would be plenty confident enough to concede.

That's a bigger concern to me than a drop or two; one of which that won't be forgotten of course. He was drafted because he was so good running after the catch at Baylor... where did that go? Of course glass bones only make it worse.

Coleman can play any WR position. He's fast and explosiveness to line up at X, he's strong and agile enough to play flanker, and he a nightmare for most slot CBs in the NFL.

Hard to get many yards after the catch when your QB was physically incapable of hitting you in stride with any type of consistency. Coleman was lucky when a pass was even catchable this year.

Another thing to consider is that Callaway has been out of football for a year and is a little raw when it comes to the finer points of WR play anyway.

It’s not super realistic to expect him to crack the top 3 WRs in Year 1. Maybe he will, but I wouldn’t say the odds are in his favor.

I think I saw a stat where Gordon lead the league in YAC last year in the limited time he played.

Think that’s all the more reason to make sure he gets some run, if he shows he’s got the ability.

Tough to take two years away from the game, so getting him involved in some capacity this year would be ideal. Lots of opportunities to sub in, hope he can take advantage.

Id honestly say if he gets 15 receptions, that would be my high expectations

I would imagine one way they try and get him some touches is on kick and punt returns.

Probably makes more sense to use your WR4/WR5 in that role than your starting safety.

Doesn’t it mean they enter the league in stage 1 of the drug program?

When you read up on what it takes to actually get suspended for weed in the NFL, you feel a lot less sorry for the guys who get popped.

Basically gotta fail three tests to get suspended, with the first two coming within 3 months of each other, but you also know when the tests are coming.
