2018 Series #34 | Indians @ Twins | July 30th, 31st, and August 1st

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Indians with RISP this year MLB ranks:

Runs: 4th
Homeruns: T3rd with Yankees
Batting Average (specifically because the comment was putting the ball in play): 10th
OPS: 7th

If the Indians are a tough team to watch because of how they hit with RISP then pretty much every team in the MLB is tough to watch

Yes but are the stats adjusted to account for... the central effect?

and also we have games that we hit every single time and games we go 0 for 10+ its been very feast or famine in that category. I think we wanna see more consistency at the end of the day.
Do people really think that’s different from other teams?

Yes and no, I mean you hear yankees fan boo a guy if he is not hitting or pitching well pretty quickly. The fan base of most teams will over exaggerate how poorly their own team is doing if they are being very inconsistent in a single category especially with something like RISP since it was also a problem for a good portion of the year last year. When you hear those drums beating in Cleveland and they don't score, some fans think the world has ended and they are bad, especially if they don't win the game. The Indians with a better pitching outing here and another hit there, would have just as good of record as any of the other top teams. They just need to put it all together. Fans badly want a championship and feels like every little mistake is magnified since they aren't coming through yet.

That's what makes them very frustrating to watch this year.

This is the type of thing people say about a team every single year.

If a team hits .300 with runners in scoring position, that means they aren't getting a hit 70% of the time with runners in scoring position. Welcome to baseball.

Guessing we don't see the newly acquired Martin tonight? Assume we get a look at him tomorrow night.

Let's score some runs for Bauer. I think we get a good 7-8 innings of baseball from him, probably 2 runs on limited hits.

As long as we drop 3+ runs, we should be able to tie this series up.

Brantley let me down there..

Was Brantley always hitting 2nd? I thought for the longest time he was hitting 3rd, and Jose was behind Frankie.

It's nitpicking, I know.

Jose Ramirez reminds me so much of myself when I was playing for the 1997 Window Nation White Sox...

If I recall correctly, Brantley was 3rd when he was healthy. I think Jose was hitting 4th and 5th

Aaaaand Alonso gets fucked on a ball a foot outside. That shit pissed me off more than anything when I played and it still pisses me off as a fan.
