2018 Series #37 | Indians @ White Sox | August 10th, 11th, and 12th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bases loaded with one out and Kipnis absolutely can't do shit with it.

Glad Bauer got his win, now let's see what the aftermath is

I don’t feel like Bauer is getting serious credit for what he’s doing. Sox announcers seem to think he’s merely “in the discussion and will get votes.”

Maybe I’m overthinking the comment; I just can’t stand Chris Sale. I guess I could have just said that from the get-go.

Problem is we have Corey Kluber, but honestly Bauer and Kluber will both get votes fro Cy Young. I actually feel Bauer should be the one who gets it even right now.

Bauer is 3rd in the AL in ERA, 1st in innings pitched, Lowest amount of HRs given up by a qualifying starting pitcher, Tied 3rd in strikouts with Verlander (Sale and Cole are tied with one more).

He has a ton going for him, so it's quite possible Bauer gets the Cy Young if he keeps this up!

Also I just wanted to put out a fact, Greg Allen has been hitting above .300 in July and August up with the big club. I have a sense things are starting to slow down for him and he is making adjustments. I think honestly we need to pick up a bat, not a glove when it comes to the OF now if possible. Allen is a solid fielder and his bat is getting better, so I would rather us pick up an upgraded bat over Melky for the stretch run.

I like what you said, but do you still see Josh Tomlin making the postseason roster? If so you'll be an lonely dead man on that hill. :chuckle:

He was perfect in his second Rehab start, so my prediction still has hope! :chuckle:

Here's Yandy's chance to outperform players in front of him.

Yandy is a solid hitter, I mean he would be up on this roster if he could actually play better in the field. We will get to see maybe soon how he plays at 1st base as well.

Jose just getting the day off?

#FreeYandy

Yandy will have a great opportunity to continue to prove himself with EE out. Hopefully he takes a few games at 3B and lets Jose/Kip DH

Just checked in because I've been watching the PGA Championship, but damn, Yandy Diaz has a role on this team. I don't care if he doesn't hit a homer all year - we need a guy like him that works counts and gets hits.

I'm President of the Yandy fan club. All the dude does is get hits and get on base.

It's a crime he was left off the playoff roster last year and it'd be a crime if he was left off again this year.

I like him. I think plate discipline and a high OBP has a place. I think he's a solid role player, and he'd be a nice bat to have off the bench in the playoffs.

I don't think it's a crime that he was left off the playoff roster last year, and I could see him being left off this year. I see him as a luxury rather than a necessity.
