Diaz continues to hit when he is up here, hitting like .500, I believe? but as soon as someone comes back from DL, back to the minors he goes. The guy deserves a chance to stay in the Cleveland, but we have to watch these sorry asses play in Gonzalez, Kipnis, Chisenhall(when he is healthy), Guyer, Naquin, and Greg Allen.

What does he have to do to stay up here? He had a great ST as well. But of course he sits in Columbus most the season. He should have been in the post-season last year as well.

I straight up challenge you to find a single thing wrong that Erik Gonzalez has done as a utility infielder this season.

I'm President of the Yandy fan club. All the dude does is get hits and get on base.

It's a crime he was left off the playoff roster last year and it'd be a crime if he was left off again this year.

Yep, but we have to watch shit Kipnis at 2nd all year hit a whopping .215 and Gonzalez who is what? 6’4” and hit the ball like a girl

The guy is freakin 6’4”, like the size of Arod, and how many homeruns does he have, like 2? Where is the power? He’s strikes out way too many times(as Greg Allen does) and has a terrible swings.

I’ll give ya, his defense is good, but We need bats more than his defense

He’s a utility player....that’s his job.

Otero is a dumpster fire and has been for a while. He should have been gone a while ago!

Your first problem is expecting your UTILITY INFIELDER to be a huge power threat. He's 6'3" and not super jacked - he's not ever going to be a huge home run guy.

What about Yandy? He's 6'2" and built like this:

He has THREE home runs all year down in Triple-A. What's the excuse for him, then? Guy looking like that should jack 35 bombs a year.

Our UTILITY INFIELDER is has .302/.333/.434 splits and you're complaining that he doesn't hit the ball out of the yard slightly more often. His K% is slightly higher than average, but once again, he's a utility infielder with .300/.330/.430 splits - at least he's not hitting into a ton of double plays when he makes an out.

His fielding profile is also infinitely better than Yandy's. Gonzalez has played games at first base, second base, shortstop, and third base this season, all at an above average to good level. Diaz is far from a great fielder, and he's pretty much limited to 3B and DH roles right now.

Hate on a guy like Kipnis for underachieving if you want I guess, but Gonzalez has done nothing but exceed expectations this year and hating on our utility infielder for not hitting a few more home runs is idiotic, especially when the guy you're juicing up in favor of him is a bodybuilder with three homeruns all year in Triple-A.

If we're talking lack of power, Yandy has the biceps of a body builder and posts a higher OBP than SLG
He’s a utility player....that’s his job.

And he can’t freakin hot worth a shit. He has had his chance to show what he can do and he has made no progress and continues to be a utility player. Why leave Yandy sit in AAA?
