2019 Browns Off Season/Roster Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
"You're like most of the coaches in this league. You don't wanna try new things." :chuckle:

I know he’s joking, but having this mentality is CRITICAL to long term success in the NFL and so many coaches don’t have this.

It’s maddening to see how pervasive “old school, we’ve always done it this way” mentality is.

Progressivism is a large part of winning culture.

Totally agree. That's why I was all-in on Kitchens during the coaching search. It was clear that he just got the best out of guys on offense because he worked to their strengths and worked to disguise their weaknesses. The way the offensive line just completely stopped giving up sacks was a testament to how well he did calling the plays.

It's also telling to me that Monken wanted to come here. He clearly knew he'd actually be heard out and utilized here even if he's not calling the plays or I can't imagine he'd have signed on at all. They should be able to put together a killer playbook.

Already knew this but thanks to Twitter, it is confirmed Browns have the best fan base

How the hell were the Browns a “6 seed,” though? Considering how deep, and present, we’ve been since ‘99, I’d say we earned the #1 spot, and should’ve walked away with this title.

Says right at the top that seeding is based on twitter followers.

How the Packers didn't at least make final four... not accurate... unless most of them cannot post on Twitter while wearing mittens?

Everything going our way (even the insignificant things) makes me worry.

Something bad has to happen eventually, right? I've been a Browns fan my whole life. This has been the best run of luck (starting with hiring Buddy Boy) I can ever remember.

I mean, the NFL is basically designed so you can't be shit forever. We bucked the odds for two decades. We were bound to accidentally do something competent eventually, even if it was by accident.
