The man has only done one thing so far:

Prioritize visiting Cleveland over every other team that expressed interest in him and then returned home to be with his family over the Memorial Day weekend.

Those are his only actions so far.

Sorry if it doesn’t match up with people’s desired timeline of wanting to crack a celebratory beer at 6pm today after work.

He still may sign here before ever making that Ravens visit. Even if he visits the Ravens, it still doesn’t mean he signs with them or is out of the picture with us.

This is the only time in his career he’s even had the option to choose where to play. He played in OKL and TB. No one should expect him to not consider the Ravens because of Browns/Ravens history. IF he was an Ohio or Cleveland native then maybe I could see getting bent out of shape over visiting the Ravens.

But again, to this point, the only thing Gerald McCoy has done is give FIRST priority to visiting the Cleveland Browns over every other team and on top of that has basically given us a 72 hour window to negotiate with his agent before he even meets with a second team.

Sure it's about money to some extent, but it's not just money. All things being relatively equal, I think he'd prefer to sign here. But if we're offering him 2 yrs/$14M, and someone else will offer 2/$22M, it may affect his decision. It's also possible that he already has decided to come here, but is just trying to squeeze out as much money as possible before he signs.
