2019 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m a huge Terry McLaurin fan, have been for awhile, but I’d still be shocked to see him go early 2nd.

I made an argument for why he should be a 3rd rounder this offseason, back when he was projected in the late rounds, but a pick in the 30-40 range seems a bit beyond the sweet spot where he moves from underrated sleeper to over-drafted.

I don’t think the team that takes him that high will be disappointed given his make-up—I’d just be surprised if he goes that early.

Always thought McLaurin was our most polished receiver - just feel he was overlooked due to Haskins stupid stats.

Curious to know what you think his best NFL comparison would be, assuming he reached his ceiling?

Ceiling? Terry Glenn.
Floor? Qadry Ismail

That Utah defense was really fun to watch. As we discuss the possibility of looking for Joe Schobert's replacement, don't forget the name Cody Barton.

I like Pratt more than Barton, and would snag him in the 3rd if he's still there. But I agree with your thinking -- Browns are going to look to pick up an LB who is strong in coverage somewhere in the 2nd-4th rounds. Even if we don't get rid of Schobert, we need another one of those guys.

A reminder that this time last year those OBR dudes were preaching the insider info that Baker wasn't the pick...

Guy could be sportscoach’s brother, but no way he’s claiming less than 4.25
Im confident that i could last 4.4 seconds with Katie Nolan. 5 seconds would be a stretch though

Not true.

Lane started dropping hints that is was possible and should not be discounted during the week leading up to the draft.

Might not be a firm yes(few people had it as a firm yes) but by no means was he saying Baker was not the pick. And Sobo was preaching that Baker was his number one QB and should be the pick since last January. Can’t speak for or vouch for the other people at that site.

Do not get the Lane hate here. He is a solid dude, not some douche windbag. Other than Ben, Lane is no less informed on Browns stuff then the other other insiders here are informed about Cavs stuff. I enjoy getting info and insight from both boards.

I thought I read an interview with the Browns front office where they are now openly confirming that they leaked Sam Darnold and Josh Allen at times to keep the rest of the draft guessing. The justification was that they wanted Denzel Ward at four and needed to keep spots 2 and 3 scrambling. Scot McCouglan was the wild card out there speaking his honest mind like some kind of sociopath.

Eh. Not saying he's a bad guy but when you drop "hints" and hedge everything, it's just a parachute for when your source is off. Seems like people buy it (literally) but I just can't.

The quality of Lane's work dropped off over the last 5 years dramatically. Doesn't mean he isn't a solid dude, but he definitely started being more abstract in his nuggets of information to the point that they weren't really nuggets any longer; instead they were just teases of something that might be a nugget. And then the nugget would never really come. Or it'd just be wrong.

IMO, the insiders here are more informed about Cavs stuff than Lane is about Browns stuff at this point in time.
