2019 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
To add to what Hockeyjohn said, Bieber, Plesac and Civale were all high command guys in College as well, so they were all polished pitchers, so higher floors, but had more question marks on how good their potential was and how well their stuff would translate to the pros. Plesac had tommy john his senior year of college, which puts a top 120ish prospect down to something like a 10th round plus prospect. The Indians have been targeting guys like this lately in the draft in those could say in those 4-10ish area rounds. I mean by sometime next summer we should see the 8th (Morgan), 9th (Karinchak) and 15th (Nelson) all in the tribe uniform at some time from the 2017 draft and the 2nd round (Sandlin), 4th Round (Scott) and 10th round (Broom) from the 18 draft. Now almost all of them outside of Morgan and maybe Scott, will be bullpen arms, but just getting that much talent that quickly to the pros like that is a testament to good drafting and development. They have their targets well picked out and focus on certain types of guys.
Any hope for Brady Aiken?

Any hope for Brady Aiken?

At the moment, I would trust myself out there more and I only ever hit 80 when I was pitching with my fastball and I haven't pitched in 15 years lol (Had a back injury when I was in high school so I had to quit pretty much all sports).

Any hope for Brady Aiken?

He was a boom or bust pick, and he appears to have busted. He faced 9 batters at LC earlier this year, walked six of them, and gave up a hit.

Any hope for Brady Aiken?

If you want positives, he's only 22 (soon to be 23) and is working out at Driveline which has had success building up velocity for pitchers in the past.

But that's only part of it. Can he regain that velocity, will that lead to success, can he mentally overcome everything that has gone poorly over the past 5 years, can he regain any sort of control? Even in 2017 when he pitched 132 innings at Lake County, he walked more batters than he struck out.

Ethan Hankins

Might be the real deal, folks.

Sorry someone is going to have to explain those two BBs to me. I demand answers. (Chuckles at his fall to the 2nd)

Can someone do write ups on Nolan jones, George Valera and Tyler Freeman please?
