2019 NBA Playoffs Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd be shocked if whoever makes it to the finals wins more than 1 game. Giannis or not, it won't matter and it sucks . . .

The one thing about Milwaukee that would be a positive is their rebounding. Golden State murdered Portland on that end because the Blazer guards are tiny and none of them particularly rebound well. Meanwhile the average height of the Bucks' starting lineup is like 6'7, being curved by Bledsoe. I think they need to look at starting Brogdon or Hill. I think Bledsoe is going to get KILLED on the pick and roll. Also, I don't think anyone outside of KD on the Warriors can guard Giannis straight up. Maybe Draymond but I don't think he could do it for an entire series. I still think the Warriors win without KD against the Bucks, but I feel like it would at least be more competitive. Especially if they actually practise trap offense.

I know I shouldn't care because they're not our problem anymore but I just can not stand this Warriors team. Even more than the Heat, even more than the '90s Bulls at this point.

Milwaukee, you're our only hope.

Such bullshit. The only way they could beat LeBron and Kyrie was by adding KD to the roster. The only way.

Wow, the Warriors really making Durant look irrelevant. I really get the feeling they enjoy playing without him so much. Team looks so loose and relaxed. He really must be a cancer in that locker room.

I don’t know if Durant is a cancer, but he IS a bowel movement.

I think it’s GOOD if the Warriors keep winning.

One, it shows how superfluous Durant really is and was. Two, it shows how huge our accomplishment really was. And three, it leads to the lowest increase in marginal utility. I mean, do Warriors fans still get happy? Do Patriots fans? I know _I_ got happy. And I will get happy again, someday.

Warriors sweep the conference finals without their "best player". They legit rented him a couple seasons cause they were scared of Lebron. Patheticcccc

yup. every team should have a cancer that guarantees them 3 straight rings

pretty much the opposite of cancer even if he's a bitch that ruined basketball for 4 seaons

Portland never had a chance, the best 2 players in the series were Curry and Klay. If Durant is healthy I don’t think Milwaukee can beat them. If Durant is still hurt there is a chance, as GS won’t have a good match up for Giannis and he he would dominate them. Milwaukee also has the guards and bigs that can slow down Curry, Klay, and Green. If Durant is back he can guard Giannis and also would make him guard him which would wear him out. The one advantage Milwaukee has is if they close this out in 5/6 they will still get some time off before the finals starts. GS is going to have 10 days off, that does not always lead to a great game 1.

I remember how gleeful Jon Barry was when he was doing the buildup to the Decision.

Looks like some things don't change...

Portland blew 3 straight 17+ point leads. Sure it's against a better team who not only have a better backcourt but a better 3rd option in Draymond, however you have to close out ONE of them you would think especially the one in which a scrub in Leonard scores 25 points. Dame thought he won the championship after knocking Russ out in the first round and only made it to the WCF because CJ caught fire against Denver. They desperately needed a competent wing player for 7 years but aren't able to entice any FA unfortunately. Was in college when Evan Turner played at OSU and loved watching his versatility there however he's been straight a** in Portland and Stotts playing him at PF couldn't make up for his offensive deficiencies and giving up rebounds due to the size disadvantage didn't help on top of that. He makes 17 million a year and proudly dates an IG model so I'm sure he's not weeping but I feel sorry for Blazers fans.

GS is just so battle tested. Whoever comes out of the east, most of the guys on either team have never been to the finals, these assholes have lived there the past 5 years. Not saying it's impossible, nothing is, but man it's gonna be tough.

It might be a random observation but I've seen Milwaukee blowout teams in the regular season and playoffs then looked at the boxscore and saw that they got an average game from Giannis , sub-par game from Middleton and an awful game from Bledsoe. I don't see the Bucks wasting a 25 point game from a player comparable to Meyers Leonard (Sterling Brown) while having a superstar in Giannis down the stretch. I also like the Bledsoe/Brogdon matchup with Steph/Klay from a defensive standpoint while Steph will have to actually guard someone not named JR or Shumpert in the finals.

Warriors are doing what the Celtics used to. Play you straight up in the first half and make adjustments at half time. They are really good at that. They also don't use themselves up defensively in the first half which is what the 2015 Cavs would do. They got too tired at the end.

I think the Bucks are the only ones that have a shot as they have a lot of mismatches over the Warriors which almost no other team has. Still, inexperience against the most experienced cohesive finals team that is still young ever is not a good thing for the Bucks.
