2019 NFL Draft: Day 3 Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’m with Dorsey.

I really hate cult of personality bullshit. Dorsey's been amazing, and I'm not saying you're doing this, but let's make sure we don't get into the "Well Dorsey did it so it has to be good!"

That being said, I don't have any problem with our picks. There wasn't really any point where I think we fucked up. I would've liked to have seen us trade at least one of this year's picks for a better pick next year.

I was worried we weren't going to get a developmental OL in the draft, but Forbes looks to fill that nicely. I wish there was a chance to improve on the DL, but all that DT talent got scooped up fast.

To me there are five teams that just draft better than everyone else. Colts, Steelers, Ravens, Patriots, and John Dorsey (Browns).

The way those five teams draft is occurring at a different level. They seem to play the draft in such a way that they’re taking BOA *and* need with every choice.

It goes well beyond analytics. Those five teams are exploiting some sort of market inefficiency. I do not know what it is, but as long as other teams do not figure it out, these teams will build at a higher level.
I'm very happy with how the Chiefs drafted. Only concern is that we didn't draft a CB higher but we were low on picks after our trade.

Mocks had a couple other slot guys above Hardman, but he was who we wanted most and we moved up to get him. Apparently we had some intel a few other teams wanted him too so we had to move up.

Estatic with Thornhill. He was our top rated safety and can't believe he fell to us.

Khalen Saunders with our 3rd rounder looks great after I did research. Can't believe how quick and nimble he is for a big guy yet powerful. I flat out trust how we draft D Line.

I think the Chiefs do a good job of finding talent late. Darwin Thompson in the 6th could be nice for us.

I won't bore you with all the details, but I just like the way we draft. We go get who we want and do a good job of developing usually. What I've noticed when looking at stats is that we draft people with high production and/or elite in a specific area. I notice many of them lead or are near the top in certain categories to their position in terms of production.

What I trust most is the system we put them in. I don't know how good Hardman or Thompson would be anywhere else, but next to Mahomes, I feel like anyone will thrive and meet their potential. It's a good feeling.

But like those teams you listed, I think development and culture is a big part of it. Even with the Spurs in the NBA. You draft people that fit your system and develop them from there.

Redwine is a name that plays well with female fans

Hmmm, seems like the polls i have read — female fans prefer his cousin Solomon Whitewine, long-snapper out of North South East West New Mexico Poly Technical Institute State.

To each their own, i guess...

Everyone misses, including Dorsey, and I'm sure he'd be the first guy to admit that.

I don't think it is as much "Dorsey did it so it has to be good", as it is "Dorsey's hit rate going be higher than that of the people bitching about picks."

In other words, the people who criticize a particular Dorsey pick and say we should have take someone else may be right. It's just more likely that they are wrong.

I don’t really see the issue either. Draft was fine, we’ll know for sure in time. Wasn’t really hyped for it or expecting huge things, but getting Greedy was a nice surprise.

Until Dorsey and his staff start fucking up like his predecessors, I will trust his judgment. Ain’t gonna hit on every late round pick, but I’m gonna determine which ones he did and didn’t down the line.

QTip said it best I guess.

Your pole is not complete.

In a more complete survey, an overwhelming amount of female fans prefer Chiefs WR draft pick Mecole Hardman over Redwine or Whitewine and its not even close.

Often heard them responding, a Hardman is good to find.

The feedback i have received from the ladies says MY “pole” is complete. ;)
