2019 NFL offseason thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kinda sounds like Gase won a power struggle with the GM according to some tidbits but it doesn’t seem verified. Either way, it sounds like a shitty situation and bad dynamic.

Jets continue to impress.

Still shocked Hill is still on the team.

Didn't they suspend him indefinitely from team activities? Given what happened with Hunt after they cut him and we signed him and barely took any shit for it, I think they wanted to avoid a repeat incident. Better to keep him on the roster, suspend him, and hope this shit blows over (which it probably will as soon as another NFL player does something terrible...only a matter of time) than to cut him and let him end up somewhere else on a bargain while that team shoulders a fraction of the outrage.

Plus, there's not a lot of downside for them here. They can sit back and let the investigation run its course. It sounds like his wife is willing to take the fall for him, which means he'll probably still be an NFL player, although he will probably be suspended for a time.

We'll see. She quietly erased all traces of him from her instagram, and disabled comments.

I am not a fan of the Kareem signing, but it's also legitimately possible that he's learned his lesson [that press conference was a disaster though,] even if Chiefsplanet fans are insisting that every team is the same, don't watch the NFL if this a problem for you, don't single out the Chiefs, our local reporter Brooke Pryor has it out for us, waaaaaahhh.

The article is pretty damning in noting how many more incidents the Chiefs have than almost all other teams in the pro-level Fulmer Cup standings. I didn't realize how much these issues pre-dated Jovan Belcher.

If we're going to, in fact, be the "new Patriots," I would like to consider KC our new, uh, chief rival the way Manning-Brady was, with the divisional opponents being minor bumps in the road, much as we used to be for them. Part of that rivalry is going to be noting these issues...

Reuben Foster carted off the field during first practice off OTAs

Thoughts?

ESPN's Rob Demovsky reports Packers S Josh Jones is skipping OTAs.
Jones is hoping to force a trade after the Packers signed Adrian Amos in free agency and added Darnell Savage in the first round. Those moves were expected to send Jones to linebacker, but he is apparently against that switch. Only 24 and with two years left on his rookie deal, Jones should draw some interest if the Packers put him on the block.

How is it possible to be an NFL starting QB and not know how to throw a football?

I still don't know why anyone really believed he's any good. I'm so glad the Ravens bit the bullet on him, and will suck for the next 5 or so years

Good luck with him when you don't have a number 1 rated defense.
