#25: ATH, Jabrill Peppers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bold approach. :chuckle:

Especially when you can look up a few posts and read your direct comment:

You’re taking it out of context. There’s a lot of things that could make us 5-1.

Peppers looked pretty good in the return game today. No comments?

I guess if you don't have anything bad to say you just stay quiet, eh?

I asked Mr. Orange to take a break with Peppers, he made his opinion known clearly enough and it was dragging down conversation. Of course, everyone else replacing the unhealthy discussion with another equally scapegoating conversation is just evidence that Mr. Orange really wasn't 100% of the problem.

Browns are an emotional rollercoaster of a franchise. Let's keep civil in discusion of this rollercoaster.

The whole defense was atrocious, so no sense in reviewing that portion of his game...
Return game was very good, but he took a few more risks - on the first few punts he ran up to the ball (for good reason, as the punts were short), and that gave him a great head of steam creating great returns. I commented on this in the Season Thread, but on the first return, I still have no idea how he managed to field it off the bounce. That was risky... but he did field it, so credit to him. But that aggressive run-up maneuver nearly cost him on that muff punt. But it didn't... so I'd say, he looked very good returning punts.

Just trying to give credit where credit is due. This tends to get neglected.

Fucking terrible miscue in a time when it couldn’t happen

I ride with Mr. Orange

Fucking embarrassing fumble

Peppers should be arrested for FRAUD

Meh, the return before that allowed us to even get to OT
Nah. There’s no excuse for that fumble. He held it like a fucking loaf of bread

Peppers should be cut after that, and honestly if I were the Browns? I’d press charges. Criminal charges

Embarrassing fumble, but if was fucking 3rd and 30 in Tampa terrotort and we left them win. This loss is on Hue.
There’s a lot of blame to go around, but man that was a BRUTAL fumble from a return man. Especially in that situation. You’ve got to have better awareness than that

I don't know why Peppers is a punt returner . he doesn't seem to have the instinct for it

Get real. Count to ten before posting.
I thought it’d be pretty easy to read through that post was heavy on rant and satire when I said criminal charges

Obviously it’d be civil charges

But really the ONE outcome that couldn’t happen no that return was a fumble. A penalty? Could live with it? A -5 yard return? Can live with it.

The ONE thing that couldn’t happen, happened. And Peppers did not prioritize ball security on the return. It was terrible situational football. Practically the ONLY way the Browns lose that game at that point is with a turnover... and there it was

Peppers started out way too conservative, fair catching everything and letting lots of balls bounce. Then after his wishy washy fan comments he started trying to make plays and he's been a lot more aggressive with pretty decent results. It's wrong to crucify him for a fumble on an aggressive punt return attempt. This shit happens sometimes when play makers try to make plays. Get over it.
