#25: ATH, Jabrill Peppers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
and his banner is a pic of the reds stadium. Fuck him.

The Reds are cool*.
He sucks.

*I like them. Loved going to their games. But the Indians are still forever my team.

In other words, most of the fanbase.

I think there's levels of it.

Like if you, say, went to Baldwin-Wallce? I'm fine with OSU being the team you follow in College along with the Browns, Indians, Cavs.

I've met a few that are like, at best? Akron grads and favor OSU over pretty much any pro-team ever. It's really cringe. Like the Browns, Tribe, etc are pretty much irrelevant to them.

Here is a pinned tweet from his account:
A girl asked me to be her fake boyfriend last night so a guy would leave her alone. Thats the closest I've been to a relationship. Felt good

Guy makes Hue Jackson look like a winner.

It's been way easier to root for tOSU since moving to Houston and getting away from the Buckeye cringe.

In that move, I've also learned that it's FAR from exclusive to Ohio State, and most historically-great programs reek of the same stench. Down here I now deal with Texas, LSU, Alabama bandwagons, A&M people, etc.

I went to Kent and never cared much for the Buckeyes, but that home pride has swelled since leaving. I think it speaks to how much of a flagship team they are for the whole state since football/baseball are divided and basketball is just so fickle by nature.

A&M was weirdly the most annoying fan base when I was in Texas for a stretch. Didn't expect it at all before being down there.

The ratio of obnoxious to good is so strangely off with them. A&M sucks, yet you'd think they've won as many championships and/or big bowl games as anyone else just by interacting with the fanbase.

12th man thing.

If we are discussing annoying fan bases that haven't won a damn thing, living in Tennessee Vol territory can be quite unpleasant. Every year I have to listen to how great their recruiting class is and how they deserve to be ranked higher than where they are in the preseason polls (even though they should not be ranked at all in reality). Then they fall flat on their face.

You'd think they'd have learned by now.

Having lived in Texas a bit myself, it feels like A&M fans are annoying just for the sake of being annoying. It’s pretty strange.

If I could describe them in one word it’d be: delusional

Getting back to Peppers. Peppers is at 63% snap percentage for the year.

What sort of FA safeties are available? I'd love to add another starting quality safety and move Peppers around even more. Play some snaps at LB over Collins/Kirksey/Whoever, some at safety, maybe move Randall to corner some plays. I think you can do that and still keep Peppers at at least 63% of snaps.

It's been a tale of two halves for snap counts. I wouldn't rely too heavily on the early portion of the season as representative of the load JP can handle. If you take his most recent 7 games, I think it shows someone thriving when asked to play a larger portion of defensive snaps.
