Given we have a Browns/Indians/OSU forum, I figured an Ohio HS would be nice. A lot of good HS football in the area. Just a thought.

16 Kids are hurt and 3\4 of the team is Sophmores.

But we used to be dominant.

Yeah I think HS Football is a great idea, considering it has such a strong following in Cleveland and Ohio in general. Plus, I love reading all the hating on my ST. IGNATIUS WILDCATS!

I went to Brecksville and they lost 41-13 in their first game to North Royalton. They have to replace 21 of 22 starters. Its going to be a really long season.

SWC had a rough week. Avon Lake lost to Maple as well. Olmsted Falls has been down as of late.

I shot down the HS football thread last year, but I now feel that I was in the wrong. I have always been concerned that any high school thread would turn into a "No, YOUR school is gay" fight, and I don't want to see that crap on RCF.

At the same time, high school football is such a beautiful and pure form of sport, and Cleveland is one of the few regions of the U.S. that recognizes the epic dopeness. Fire away in this thread, and yes, that game last Saturday was epic: the best private school team in the city faced off against the best public school team in week one... sorry to all that didn't pay attention, because Glenville vs. Iggy is quality entertainment.

Yeah it was a helluva game. Encore is on STO right now as we speak...

I was at the 8-7 playoff game last year, this matchup definitely has the makings of a rivalry that could last long!

I know it. Every single team lost this week. I was really surprised that Avon Lake did. They are a model of consistency in the SWC, although my alma mater had a couple good years while I was there (05-09). I didn't play on the team, but I did go to every game.

As an SWC (Slow White Conference) Alum, I must say I have no idea who my Westlake Demons played this week.

After looking it up I found out we were rained out. How anti-climatic. Not sure if they played the next day or something, and not sure I really care that much haha.
