A Look Inside the Dysfunction of the Cleveland Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What a bunch of horseshit. Notice outside Houston, all very small markets. Small sized market doesn't mean bad for the NFL.

The Browns have a much bigger following than a lot of big markets in the NFL.

Meanwhile, the NFL decides to give LA two teams.

And they are so bad, they have to have tarps out in sections of the stadium, because the attendance is so bad.

In their first home playoff game in years. The road time beat them in attendance.

They get a Super Bowl, and ranked, what 16th in regional viewership?

I guess it wouldn't look good for the NFL to admit they've bombed in LA.

But yeah, I mean football in Cleveland is much worse. :jerkoff:

It may come as news to these guys since they live in those cities, but outside of LA, no one gives a shit about LA.

LA doesn't even give a shit about LA. Everyone thinks SF is far cooler than LA and that SD is far more chill.

Also, outside of NYC, no one cares about New York. ESPN, Fox, whatever. They can stop slurping NYC and LA's tiny, little sacks because no one cares.

ESPN: "LeBron is finally in a big market!"
Fans: "Who cares."

Am i taking crazy pills? It clearly says 'worst cities to be a pro football fan'- which considering our franchise ia coming off the Hue Jackson Experience seems pretty appropriate? Are folks that touchy and does Cleveland have that severe of an inferiority complex that you read that as 'worst fans'?
I choose to believe that’s what they mean too, and it is indeed an interesting metric for a list...but if that’s what they’re doing I would have picked completely different teams than what they’ve picked. In addition to the Cleveland Browns, I’d put teams like the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins, etc...

I don't buy Nashville being on there either.
I live in Nashville. The Titans are nearly invisible here. It is honestly kinda baffling how little people care about the local NFL team.

The Vawls dominate the state for the Tennessee natives. Most of the northern transplants moving here already have an NFL team. Not to mention since the Predators have been winning both the locals and northern transplants are jumping on board with them. Titans are easily third in the pecking order in terms of fan support and buzz.

Yeah those are teams with actual fans.

Jacksonville and Tennessee fanbases just don't exist.

I've heard Lion fans talk of Millen and dreadful seasons
I've seen Bills fans slam through tables and discuss how bad the 4 super bowls were
Redskins fans bitch about Snyder...Hell, Houston fans REALLY hate Bud Adams.

Tampa and Nashville are great cities to live in, I think they have to be looking as a fan, and that makes sense, but not for long, Cleveland is going to be a great town to be a football fan in.

And honestly Phoenix is a horrible football town, Cardinal fans are not educated fans, so annoying.

Um no, SF IS far cooler than LA, and SD is one of the greatest cities in the US, just not good sports fans.

LA is horrible, 6 hours away and i cringe when i have to go. I hate that shit hole. I dont get why athletes like it there, actually most prefer Phoenix, much more laid back city with a very good nightlife.

LA is the definition of garbage

SF is cooler than LA but it is still an overrated, expensive shit-hole.

I have never been more disappointed by a city as esteemed as it is. Yeah, it has great landmarks, cultural stuff and good food, but it is way too crowded with the same type of person (the Basic boring young white guys in tech who act and dress like clones), super expensive and full of human excrement. I kept hearing how the Castro was the bee-knees but again, full of basic white guys who happened to gay*.

I get the feeling it was a lot cooler and nice about 15 years ago.

*Pretty young white gays tend to be racist and dumb.

SF is fucking terrible.

Monterey is much better for grown adults.

I really enjoyed SF and SD, but I thought LA was fucking awful

Would love to go back to SF or SD and really would only go back to LA if it was for business and my trip was paid for (which is what the first time was, and I got out of there to SD as soon as I could)

I also don't give a shit about pop culture or Hollywood.

I actually enjoyed Palm Springs allot, although very slow paced town.

And my favorite city in the US is New Orleans, but that is a different place abbreviated LA, lol

Everyone should enjoy San Diego. The whale's vagina is fucking paradise. It's like 60-80 all year and never humid.

San Francisco as it is today is nothing like the city I moved to 15 years ago. You nailed it. That's what happens when you elect three mayors in a row who would do anything the tech CEOs want. The soul of the city is long gone.

Monterey is much better for grown adults.

I don't know if you were Navy, but that would be a great place to spend a GI bill. Not a lot of jobs, but definitely a great vacation spot.

Back to the Browns: The great thing about all these offseason fluff pieces is that it's all filler. In what really matters, the team improving and headed in the right direction, I'm unflappable.

Whats really crazy is I have a calmness for the first time about a Browns offseason since the return. Sure I am excited and spend way to much time reading about the draft, but this is not a make or break offseason like the past.

We have a QB, he have studs on defense, we have a few studs on offense besides the QB. And guess what, they are all really fucking young. Reminds me allot of the early 90's Cowboys. After they got the Aikmen, Irving, Smith, Newton, etc core they made mistakes, all teams do, even the Patriots miss on draft picks or trade for drug addicts that relapse. But while the Cowboys made mistakes after the built the core they won 3 Super Bowls along the way.

Say want you guys want, but this is not make or break anymore. 2 good drafts in a row, a GM that knows what he is doing, and I am calm. The Browns will make mistakes, but we will be winning Super Bowls in the 2020's while we do it.

Guys the journey has just begun, but hopefully we don't go to a Super Bowl in SF, because apparently I want to visit a better city, because now I know that town has lost its soul.

Anyone want to stay at my place when the Browns are in the Super Bowl in 2023? Because I will be watching our Browns win their 2nd Super Bowl and I have 2 extra bedrooms and a couch.
