Saw a great quote on Twitter today, can't remember from who:

"You know, there was a time in Nov 2011 when Norris Cole was better than Kyrie Irving"

I remember that vividly. And I remember the panic. Now, Kyrie hadn't gone 0-fer in his first four games, but the same "bust pick" talk was going pretty strong, and a iot of pining for Derrick Williams.

Maybe after the season opener, lol..

Good call. The season opener, that year, was within a day or 2 of Christmas :chuckles:

Right now Bennett is afraid to make a mistake and it is clearly affecting his game. He needs to take a step back and let the game come to him. The whole offense has struggled, Kyrie included.

The Norris Cole part was real, but the rest wasn't really accurate. Kyrie had everyone worried after his rough first game in which he shot 2 for 12, but over his next four games he averaged 17-5-4 in just 26 minutes per game while shooting 53% from the field and in doing so, pretty much dismissed all worries that he may possibly be a bust.

Your main point still stands though: it's crazy early and any there is no need to panic. Anthony Beignet, I mean Bennett, will be fine.

I myself think Tony Bennett is a phenomenal singer, I don't know why anybody is questioning that.

I said long before the draft that I didn't want Bennett because he is a fat tweener...and there's no doubting, that's what he is... for now.

He obviously has potential, he just needs to get in better shape and pull his head out of his ass.

Let's play name that fat tweener.

The biggest reason I'm not concerned about Bennett is that he has a smooth offensive game. He has good form on his shot. His concerns coming out of college were not offense like they were with Tristan. Too much natural offensive ability for Bennett to not improve.

Pretty sure I have read that he has been the last player off the court on practice days and I know for a fact he said he was going to the gym on their off day on Sunday. Do people think he is just sitting at home on the couch playing video games and stuffing his face with unhealthy food 24/7?

I don't think anyone believes this. I'm pretty sure we all acknowledge that he does sleep, although I wouldn't be surprised if he does so with a Twix under his pillow trying to achieve some form of osmosis during the REM cycle.

I still think he would get his basket and probanly start playing better if he jist got a chance to play a few minutes with kyrie

Is it really this hard for Mike Brown to run ONE stinking play to get AB an easy shot? Why is it so frustrating to watch this offense, (little to no ball movement or player movement)....
