Avengers: Endgame Spoilers Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think he is using those giant monsters to make him look like the good guy (ala Incredibles). If they did go Multiverse route, it would be a way to introduce Morales & Spider Gwen.

It really is hard to tell where they are going with this. Feige has said this is wrapping up the current Marvel phase.

Ahhh...

And those glasses Peter has let's him see what really is happening, a la They Live it looks like.

On a sidenote, anyway we think this movie passed $2.3 after yesterday? It was at $2.188 after Saturday night. Need to crank out as many dollars as possible before Pikachu comes in and racks up a few hundred mil.

Remember when people said a movie about a B-Lister like Iron Man would never work or make money?
I never said that when the first Iron Man came out.

I said, "Oh, is that a Black Sabbath biopic?"

Great flick: as any time travel movie goes there will be ton of inconsistencies but very well done.

-Enjoyed that Jim Rodgers closed the loop (was pushed forward in time and now he gets to go back and live his life again)
-Thor and Rocket basically steal the show. Can wait to see "Asguardians of the Galaxy"
-Was hoping for a Black Widow origin story at some point which I guess can still happen. Also no funeral for her?
-I still hate Captain Marvel
-Thanos dying without us ever seeing Silver Surfer or Galactus is a bit strange

Jim Rodgers? Seriously?

Ending that first movie with Black Sabbath was absolutely perfect.

I don't really have any interest in the extended universe stuff or the new potential villains. I got started with Iron Man more out of curiosity, and then was sucked it by the generally excellent casting. Loved RDJ, Evans, and Hemsworth in particular. So oddly, it was a character-driven thing for me. So Endgame is probably my last Marvel movie. But I am really glad they ended it as well as they did, because it felt like closure to me for those characters.

Exceptions are I will probably follow Guardians if Pratt stays, especially if Hemsworth is there as well. And Deadpool. But that's because of how perfect those actors are rather than the Marvel aspect itself.

Agreed with everything here, but I'll also include Dr. Strange for Cumberbatch.

Yeah, good point. It's amazing how much of the casting turned out to be "couldn't imagine anyone else in that role".

The big exception is Brie Larson v. Gal Gadot. Gadot basically is Wonder Woman, and was the best part of that Superman v. Batman movie, though that's obviously DC. Brie Larson, on the other hand....

Holland and Boseman are both pretty incredible castings as well

Thor, Capt. America, Iron Man, even Ant Man and Hank Pym are basically spot on.

Also, with the new Spider Man trailer, they mention the multi-verse. Is it possible this is where we get mutants and maybe even the F4 from? If so, that's super HYPE.

Yes, I was just speaking to the relatively new characters.

Tough to imagine anybody else playing the main cast really.

Which, let's get to it, Sam becoming Capt. America is pretty much going to be awful, right? I don't think the actor has the chops that Chris Evans does, and unless they are going to somehow make Sam a super soldier, I don't really understand it at all.

It's fine, but I can't help but feel that maybe Bucky is a better choice than Sam.

I actually think Sam will be great.

Wilson's run as Cap in the comics was very well-received, and given the way the movies have played out he makes far more sense than Bucky to take over the mantle.
