Beer snob thread!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What time do you plan to go to Lizardville today? I don't think I'm going to get there by 3. I also don't think it'll be gone, but I'm not positive of that. My Heinen's guy said that he's getting more CBS this year than BCBS, so it sounds like we're hearing the same thing.

I just got up here now, around 3:15. They have separate tickets for bottles and draft. The draft comes in a flight with KBS and regular Breakfast Stout. I think they have about 10 tickets left for the bottles, so it shouldn’t last much longer. Not sure how many tickets are left for the flights, probably more though. A lot of people seem to be grabbing their bottle and leaving. So you may still be able to get some draft if you head up later.

I'm going to head-up after work, which isn't until 5. Hoping to get a draft sample; I've got bottles coming already. Well played, sir!

Will probably be up there around 5:30 myself. Bummer about the tickets - further proof that Friday Afternoon Meeting Guy at the office is the worst. Hoping some shops around town have some bottles left

The guy made it seem like they have a lot of draft left, they are only serving it with the flight, so that probably deterred a lot of people from getting extra pours. You guys should be fine around 5pm.

Just got here. Not bad; I like the flight requirement because it slows the keg down a bit. I’m at the bar if you’re around.

Yeah it definitely spreads the wealth more, which is nice. I ended up leaving shortly after I finished my flight around 4:30, or else I would have met up.

CBS just hit shelves on the west side today. Saw five bottles at Heinens rocky river (3 now). Simone’s in rocky river is going to do a raffle next week for theirs.

Appreciate it!

Man, reading all these beer hunting posts make me sad that a) I live in the Toledo area, and b) spent the past few days in Michigan with my fiancées family so I couldn’t selfishly make a day trip to Cleveland or Columbus.

Ever want to help me try Boss Tweed?

Reading through this, it's pretty wild how much more involved in "the game" I've become in such a short time. I never realized how into it you were, either. Expensive hobby. :chuckle:

Sure, I'll see what I can do! I've only had it on draft at their brewery so far, back when it was released, and it just started seeing distro around Michigan. The fiancee and I go up to Ferndale, MI every month or so to stop at Schramms and B Nektar. Not sure if you're into mead at all, but Schramms may be the greatest thing I've ever tasted. If you think beer is an expensive hobby, Schramms mead is a whole other animal lol.

Are you heading down to Hoof Hearted on Sunday for Key Bump?

I've had only nutmeg, ginger, the statement, & blackberry from Schramms. I'm looking to try red or black angus, but it's hard to come by.

I was stuck in a meeting on Wednesday at noon, so I missed the ticket. I'm not happy I'm missing this release; love Key Bump. If you have time, hit the draft house in Columbus; I heard they have quad hopped Konkey & DDH Blabe on draft.

I'm going to Vail on the 2nd of February & am probably coming home with a 12 shipper of Casey.

Anyone heading to Masthead next weekend for their 1 year anniversary release? I've loved the last two NE styles I've had from them, and their stouts have been amazing as well.

Would love to, but I'll be up in Ellicottville, NY at Holiday Valley. It's too bad.

Gotcha, I'm going to try and get down there a little early. Hopefully that should be plenty of time to grab some cans, I know the last release sold out in about 4+ hours. Worst case, I'll try some on draft and grab a crowler of whichever one I like the best.

Yeah, being only about an hour plus away from Ferndale I've been fortunate to try alot of their offerings, and get up there for their limited bottle releases.

I was able to get a ticket for Key Bump and will be going down Sunday. The plan is to definitely swing by the brewpub kitchen after. It's only about a half hour out of the way.

Masthead is really good! I stopped there for the first time on my way up to Mentor for New Years weekend. I missed cans of the Citra Vice by an hour, which was a bummer, but got crowlers of that and Tubes along with a 4pk of the Tiramisu Underverse. Feel like they're quickly going to become the best brewery in Cleveland. It'll also be my new pregame spot before Cavs/Indians games, concerts, etc. when I'm in the city.
