I agree. How about if the roles were reversed?

Would the consensus be that it was because of the color of their skin? Would there be a public uproar declaring racial intolerance?

Really think the issue would be about the scum of the earth that did the act. Can't believe the dude, especially, just punched the daughter like that. In other news, she should be a boxer, cause she came right back up after that shot! I mean, girl's got a jaw, especially for a 15 year old!

more new coming in on the st louis shooting
from the victims scummy lawyer

Tate, who represents the Ethical Society of Police, wants to know why the initial information O’Toole gave differed so much from the actual events, why it took so long for the department to correct the record and what the off-duty officer did to make the white officer fearful enough to fire a shot. Tate says the off-duty officer carried his badge in his hand.

I can see how a badge in someones hand could make someone "fear for their safety"

Tate said only the physical evidence coupled with the officers’ statements will answer those questions.

“He is one of the good guys in blue, and we’re looking to see how the investigation plays out for the benefit of every man and woman in blue in the department,” Tate said.

Tate said the shooting raises several issues, including whether protocols for off-duty officers exist to prevent “friendly fire” incidents.

“If there is a policy, we want to know why did it fail and what needs to be in place to eliminate the risk of this kind of thing happening again, whether it’s a police officer or any other black male involved in any regrettable shooting,” Tate said.

Man look at that fearmongering and exploitation being perpetuated by this scummy Lawyer.

During an interview last week with a St. Louis television station, Tate questioned the white officer's account to police that he shot the off-duty officer because he feared for his safety. "There is this perception that a black man is automatically feared," Tate told KTVI then.
Tate, a former prosecutor, appeared to soften that Monday, telling the AP that "emotions run high on both sides of the question."

"People say this was just an accident; others say it was racially motivated because it absolutely makes no sense," Tate said. "From the union's perspective, yes, there were concerns why the officer was shot under the circumstances. As to whether he was shot because he was black, that'll come out in the internal investigation, and we'll go from there.

"My job now is to make sure the (special unit probing the shooting) dots every 'I' and crosses every 't' in determining whether the physical evidence matches up with whatever the (shooting) officer's oral testimony is," he added.

Tate said any decision about a lawsuit over the shooting was premature, saying the wounded officer "is not particularly interested in that until we have a full investigation of the circumstances."

It will be interesting to see what comes out of this probe and if any punishments are doled out to the officer performing the shooting.

I didn't watch the whole video. Were those two disgusting pieces of shit doing that because of race or because they are pieces of shit?

Well, it could be both, but definitely the latter.

I don't think it was racially motivated whatsoever.

They liked that chicken place and they are shitty people is all

Ok. I agree it could be both depending on the motive.

I was just wondering how it turned into "if races were reversed this is a hate crime".

Seems like a silly argument.

Either way I'd like to curb stomp the the pudgy fuck that sucker punched that little girl.

Is this a hate crime? If the roles were reversed would it be a hate crime?

Not a hate crime but the question to ask is how the media would report it if the roles were reversed? I think the media needs to bear a lot of the responsibilities for today's race relations.

You guys have it all wrong. The only hate crimes today are people burning down their own churches and spray painting fucked up attempts at swastikas on their own buildings.

Chauncey Devaga has an article why doesn't report about hate crimes against whites

http://www.salon.com/2017/04/28/why...ti-white-hate-crimes-like-the-fresno-murders/

His reasoning is pretty clear. He believes justice will be fully meted out in these crimes and he tries to focus on the "voiceless"

http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/18/us/fresno-california-shootings/index.html

CNN had no problem running coverage on the fresno murders. Hate crimes are typically charged based on the history of the assailant and their own explanation of the attack.

http://www.theblaze.com/news/2017/0...cious-racist-attack-police-call-a-hate-crime/

Police have no problem investigating attacks on whites as hate crimes if the the information they have indicates a underlying or overt racial biasness or hate leading to the attack.

Meanwhile you also have editors at Ebony magazine who wasn't initially comfortable labeling a shooter in dallas who killed 5 cops as a hate crime
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/davidc...ate-crimes-whites-says-ebony-magazine-editor/

That video regarding the cold chicken is not sufficient to determine if it was a hate crime. Background information on the attackers would be needed to make that establishment.

the same is true in reinforce

not every attack is gonna involve saying "I am attacking you because I hate your kind" at the moment of attack.

Whether the cold chicken couple acted out as some sort of road rage or they felt disrespected by the owner based on the race is not something you can determine from the video.

That's why they couple hasn't been accused of a hate crime.

however once detained if they made racial remarks or references or their social media interactions showed patterns of racism. police could very charge that couple with a hate crime.
