Board & Card Games? Not Risk or Monopoly in here...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've actually been considering getting those. I've seen red and blue, have you played them both?
They're the same I believe. It just allows you to play with two different groups of people as I understand it.

I got Red last month, but haven't played it yet.

Oh, cool. I keep seeing it in stores and have been tempted. Maybe I'll pull the trigger.

Stitches is right. It's pricey to buy two of the exact same game (save for box aesthetics), but at least getting one seems to be extremely worthwhile.

Just backed Arcadia Quest: Inferno on kickstarter. The late pledge was still open, and looked like tons of value. I have been contemplating getting the original for quite a while, so this seemed like a good jumping in point.
Just as an FYI, they just updated the campaign on kickstarter and said late pledges will be available until like May 16th if anyone wants to back it. For $100 you get a ton of value (IMO).

Check out summoner wars. My buddy works for the makers of that game. It's like chess meets LotR. LOTS of strategy, but there is a luck aspect too that makes it less predictable. my best friend and I have spent many a night playing and getting pissed off at the game (in a good way). They have a decent app for it too.

We do four 9 hour days and a then a half day on Fridays at my work. Well, a couple of us decided we're going to play a board game each week (or maybe every other) after our day ends on Friday.

First up is Dead of Winter, which is a really good co-op (for the most part) survival game. I've only played it a handful of times, and we have yet to win, but it's a lot of fun. There's lots of strategy, and each character is fairly unique. There is certainly some luck involved with dice, but I think there are enough actions available each turn that you can overcome bad rolls and still contribute solidly.

Just bought this today as a bday gift to myself.

I've now played quite a few games of Eldritch Horror (thanks YouTube for the walkthroughs) and this game is one of my favorites.

For Valentines Day the GF and I took advantage of the Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale at Target and we picked up Kings of New York, Codenames and some game she's been wanting for awhile, I can't remember it.

We've also added games like Sheriff of Nottingham and a few others to our collection.

Nice, I got a bunch of games on Christmas thanks to my wife, then had a couple kickstarters deliver too so I have a lot more to play.

I just bought Legendary: Marvel (deck building game) and that's pretty fun solo (there are leagues on boardgamegeek) in addition to multiplayer.

After we finished Arcadia Quest campaign last year at work, we have now started a Star Wars: Imperial Assault campaign.

My friends and I should be starting a Descent campaign on Saturday with the Road to Legend app.

Oh, I'm glad this got bumped. I was wondering what you dorks were up to.

A question to the folks who post in here...

Do any of the board games you guys play seem like they'd be fun to play on a phone or tablet or even a PC? Like, do any of them lend themselves to the video game format, and also have no current video game implementation?
I had an interesting conversation on this topic with a smattering of game devs.. consensus is that game design should be specific to the platform.. if you are interested in board game development we should have a conversation.. my number 2 is just back from pax east

Platform would definitely need to be mobile and touch friendly; that is to say, a mouse or joystick should not be necessary to play.

For example "80 Days" is a game that works on all platforms that seems like it was inspired by a board game that I've played before but can't recall.
