You think Tatum, Brown, and Rozier is too much for the greatest big man in the game? You think the SAC pick has that much value? Sac jumped up to #2 from #7, they are going to get the #2 pick who will surely help them win a few more games. They have no incentive to tank (just like the Nets) it's not going to be some surefire top 5 pick with endless value.
If I'm NO, I'd trade AD for no less than Tatum, Brown, and Rozier. I would try to get Boston to throw in the Sac Pick too. If I was Boston I'd do that trade, NO doesn't have to trade AD. They can hold on to him for a two more years, his PO isn't until the start of the 2020 season.
Everyone acts like with Gordan and KI that the Celtics D will be just as good; news flash, it won't. Brown and Tatum aren't PFs either so minutes would have to be shared some between SG/SF/PF small stretches between the 3. There are only so many minutes at each position. I could see Baines getting 8 mill or so per year on the open market, he does a lot of dirty work and has started to add the 3 ball; That's valuable. Smart; I think he'd at least get 10 mill on the open market ( I wouldn't want to pay him that, but there is no denying he's a versatile defender). Kyrie is used to hero ball as well which will not help team chemistry (especially during the playoffs).
Just wait and see. We'll see who is right. I'm not saying Boston won't be good; they aren't going to be better than GS anytime soon. When people say the team will be stacked for a decade I have a hard time seeing it. Horford will not always be Horford. Kyrie will want the max and someone will pay it to him. Tatum looks like a Max player, as does Brown possibly if he keeps developing. You can't keep 5 max players even if you drafted them. Look at all the problems in OKC; they had 3 MVPs on the same roster at the same time and they won jack shit and had to break up the team.
