Gregggg is getting a lot of shit from people, but truth is, he got these guys to play and believe in themselves. Will he be the HC in 2019, nope, but he deserves all the respect from us and all Browns fans.
I will always respect Gregg and call him coach, he deserves it. He did something I didn’t think was possible, make me excited and believe we are a real team.
Thank You Coach Williams

I like GW but his defenses can't seem to stop the run worth a damn. His schemes also tend to give up lots of yards to tight ends across the middle.

Otherwise he's far from the worst as a DC.

He's been a solid interim coach and I think he deserves a shot somewhere as a HC. Probably not here though.

Thanks for the memories Gregg.

Good luck at your next role.

My question is, who hires Gregg as a DC? He’s pretty bad at that job. The Browns got worse defensively from last year even though they added more talent and their young guys from last year progressed.

Not our problem anymore

I appreciated Gregg more for the attitude he set as the HC moreseo than anything he did as our DC.

I wish him well but he should not be back next year.

I wonder who was the driving force in changing the d-line roster. If the front office made the key additions to the roster and kept some of the nose tackles, I think Gregg's scheme may have worked better. The versatility of guys like Avery, Chris Smith, and Peppers with nose tackles to throw basically any look at a team should have made for a much better run defense and pass rush than we had. The biggest knock in 2017 was the lack of a free safety and Randall fill that role perfectly.

I would like Kitchens as HC, but if he is not ready, than I wouldn't mind bringing Williams back for a 2-year extension. I don't think there are many scenarios where Kitchens will stay on as OC with a new coach. Likely Arians or Toub, but that would be about it.

Thing I liked about Gregg is the penalties dropped when he took over. Not every game, but you could see the team had more discipline with him in charge.
