Carter Almost A Cavalier?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just cause the Raps are losing, it doesn't mean they're moving Bosh...

There's no reason to jump to extreme conclusions right now...

Kinda got a point, but then again.. Aging center in JO, never healthy, fired their head coach. Things are looking terrible for Toronto right now. I don't know if trading Bosh right now will do anything for them regardless, especially since the big fishes are in the 2010 off season. Unless they are making cap room for Carlos Loozer, which isn't likely.

W&G said something I didn't want to hear, "Have to wait it out".. I just want to get it over and done with, get whoever we want/can get with the options we have. But of course it takes time.. So I guess we'll all wait it out.

Anyway I can have a message sent to me saying "W&G posted (thread name here)"? Don't want to go through 20 pages to find if he did post.. :chuckles:

I dont think they is that much of a shot of getting bosh THIS YEAR with a weaker 2009 FA class BUT if TOR does like 1 or 2 guys they could be willing to get bosh out now with 21 mill with O'neal coming off the books with wallys 14 mil that would be about 23 mil they would have to spend in FA just giving up O'neal and Bosh

Side note right now Tor is -12 mil in cap

so 23 mil could look very good to them if they want

boozer
bibby
felton
ben gordon
Kidd
Iverson
Sheed
Artest
Odom
Kobe??
Marion
LEE
Al harirngton

thats a few guys that they would look at maybe get a Lee and bozzer get bozzer for 15 mil lee for 8.........I dont know if boozzer will even get that there wont be alot of teams that can offer over 10 mil heat can offer not much more then 10... Det can offer him alot but seem to be going after 2010.

SO WHO KNOWS Boozer, JJ and 2009, 2010 first round picks isnt bad for bosh

They can get Lee without trade maybe.

but they could also give O'neal a small deal after getting lee and Boozer and have a DEEP C/PF

with 2 first round picks to kick in 2009 they could add depth at SF, SG, PG.

BUT only way its even a shot is if bosh starts to get really mad about losing

Zack Stiepien rule you cannot trade consecutive firsts (ie 2009 and 2010 firsts).

Also if Toronto is tanking and wants to reload and Bosh wants out then 23 M in expirings might look good to them right about now.

Plus Toronto also has Bargnai who is a PF even though they are trying to play him at the SF position.

okay 2009 and 2011 first round picks then.

I really hope we can get bosh for wally, jj and picks but I dont think it will happend.

that would still keep us open in 2010 to trade Ben for a SG if thats still a need.

BOSH start TALKING

Why would we want to screw the Cavs future over with getting Vince Carter? He is 31 past his prime and has long contract. Getting him would make no sense and would not only hurt team chemistry but prevent us from getting anyone good in 2010.

I want Bosh or Stoudemire in 2010. Yea it will be hard to sign them but they want to play for a winner and if LeBron resigns in 2010 quickly or even a contract extension in 2009 I guarantee you one of them will want to play for the cavs. LeBron plus one of those guys equals dynasty. Bosh is getting sick of Toronto fans booing and Mitchell got fired so maybe there is a slight chance we could trade for him now. The Marion idea for Wally and Varejao would possibly be helpful. But it depends how we are doing by the trade deadline. Fortunately Marion's contract is up after this year so we can't screw ourselves over long term.

Varejao is not going to resign with the cavs. He is a greedy bastard. He wanted to make similar to what Z was making at around 10 million but he is not worth it. The Cavs wouldn't even give delonte the same amount as gibson even though delonte is BETTER than gibson.

First, andy averaged 14 and 9 in the 3 games he started at center, plays very good defense and is 6'11" tall. He is young, and his offensive game is still developing. News flash, Andy is worth 10 million. Go take a look around the league and look at what big men make. Z signed for a hometown discount. Not many players are like Z. We will most likely resign him as we have his bird rights and only 6 teams will have enough cap space for him, and will either wait until 2010 or sign other more attractive free agents. He will sign here over the summer most likely.

Next, we should not have cap room in 2010. If we do, that means Ferry did not use any of his assets, Wally, Ben, Pavs to get long term pieces. If that happens, we have a greater chance of Lebron leaving. The wait for 2010 approach will not get us a championship, will not get us better before lebron is a free agent, and it will not entice lebron to stay.

Last, A max free agent leaves about once a decade. Most if not all of the big name free agents will stay with their team or leave via a trade. The best way to get Bosh or Amare is using Bens contract next year with draft picks and some of our young talent. Then we get both Lebrons and Bosh's (or amare's) birds rights and they can sign a bigger max contract with us. If toronto or phoenix think they will loose wither for nothing, you will see them traded by next years deadline to someone. Why not us.

Sounds like we could potentially be back in the mix for Vince Carter...
