Cavs acquire Sam Dekker (Official)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That podcast is just awful in general.

Eh. It is what it is. Not high entertainment just Cavs talk and facts. While the chase down is higher entertainment and more opinions... and laughing at their own jokes... both Give me something to listen to on the way to work.

I usually enjoy his guest from other locked on teams though.

I am thinking that Korver is our backup SF for however many minutes Cedi doesn't get. Maybe Sam plays 10 min as SF. I see him as their hopeful backup 4 in a small lineup.

I was a little shocked by the assessment of his performance in LA. He was touted as a smart player, even in Houston, but then "Didn't know what he was doing on the court" with the Clippers.

I do think Ty's message of "Just do what you do and be aggressive" will actually be good for him. I think Doc wanted something different from him.

Sounds like Sam isn't going to be playing SF at all maybe . Maybe JR and Nwaba will split time there as Cedis backup?

Good interview from Sam today. He I sinuated he just wasn't comfortable in LA and feel more at home here as a Midwest guy. He says the coaches have empowered him similar to Dantoni. If he can be the guy he was in Houston that would be great . If he can be better than that, he Is anawesome backup 4.

Ty said he was shooting much better than he expected. Maybe he has a real bounce back year.

It would be great if some of these guys like Dekker and Nwaba worked out. They will have a shot

Seems like they loaded up on young guys who play a solid floor game and defend, but haven't become consistent shooters. Cavs need Korver on the team and working with these guys on mechanics. I don't know which one is going to break through, but if Sexton, Cedi and one other guy get their shot right, the rebuild speeds along.

Sam is a guy who might just find his game with our Cavs. He was a terror at Wisconsin and every time I watched him I came away impressed. He's a guy who understands the game.

Looks like we found ourselves another cerebral player who is heady and fundamentally sound.

Reminds me a lot of:
Keith Van Horn
Austin Croshere
Pat Garrity
Utah Jazz
Matt Bullard
Vinny Del Negro (scratch that)
Jeff Foster
Mark Madsen
Matt Harpring
Bryce Drew
Fred Hoiberg

Um, I don't see it. I think he is more like a white Craig Ehlo.

Don’t you dare leave GOAT-y off this list

He has a crisp chest pass like Seamus McCaughlin. I've noticed he boxes out like Liam McGillicuddy. He rotates in transition defense like 1950s star Dolph Kaplowitz.

Made all those white ass names up. He is actually Scott Roth.

Was on a plane today. He looked good?
