Must be nice to have a teammate break record of most 3s in a final game, and drop 34 points in a closeout game while your ass plays average and you still win finals mvp.

Lebron better join forces next year and fuck up the warriors so badly. God I hate kd.

Whee, the Warriors get to celebrate what? This isn't even a challenge. It's kind of like the Cavs having Toronto's number, except w/GS it's easy street with every other team. Only a squad of frontrunners like this one would get joy out of winning titles like these last two.

You know, I hate the Washington Capitals, but much respect for their Cup. They earned it. No respect for this GS squad. They're all patsies.

It's pretty damning if true that Bore-acle had its first non-sellouts recently - first since a ways back into at least the Mark Jackson era if I'm not mistaken. Their fans are also realizing how empty rooting for this team is - and yes, I know that we've had non-sellouts and discounts in some elimination games recently, but that is completely different.

Reddit is full of posts about missed calls in favor of the Cavs.

They have the most stacked team ever, swept the series for their 3rd title in 4 years and still complain about the refs. After what happened in Game 1 too. I don't get it. Usually the underdog has much more support.

i was in vegas last week i was going to put 100$ on cavs in 7 , i got to the sportsbook about 5 minutes after game 1 started so i was not able to place bet.. THANK GOD

Funny af Curry still doesn't have a Finals MVP

Warriors stans must be fuming rn

It’s so Cleveland that most of the heroes of 2016 are hated now. Other champions get to KEEP their heroes. Spurs have Tim Duncan. Heat have Wade. Mavs have Dirk. Red Sox have Big Papi. Patriots have Brady.

For us, Kyrie, JR, TT, Love, all derided. All gone, or hopefully gone. Only Bron is the hero that we still admire. And he will spend the rest of his career somewhere else.

Was reading some takes on the GS celebration last night (I didn't watch it) and noted how many people said it was boring and that it didn't even look like they were into it. Despite nonsense about regular season adversity (aka. boredom + guys taking breaks), it's hard to get too excited about an easy street championship like this. Only 2-3 more years of this to go, NBA fans!

What a contrast with the Capitals cup celebration the night before. I normally hate the Caps (Blue Jackets fan), but Ovechkin's exhilaration, Oshie's interview... it was really moving and the culmination of years of tough losses as well as a really tough path this year. Everything GS's path hasn't been since Durant joined.

I was literally just thinking the same thing after seeing clips of the parades. The Capitals are celebrating and enjoying the moment of being champions. Something most players in professional sports can only dream of. The Warriors on the other hand are being smug and still taking shots at the Cavs after a cake walk to the championship. It just bothers me that they aren’t even excited about it and I think that is bad for the league. Any other team and city in the league would be enjoying the moment for themselves, not taking the time to take shots at the other team. They really lucked into a title with injuries to other teams and some help from the refs.

Speaking of taking shots, did anyone see Draymond’s comment about not shaking hands with Tristan? Regardless of opinions on Tristan, how can Draymond claim who is soft or not. Between his berating of the refs on every possession, consist fouling on every play, eye gauging, playing with great talent around him, nut kicking, and calling KD after losing in 2016 begging for help, he doesn’t exactly scream “cut from a different cloth to me.”. Completely unsportsmanlike to me, but I guess Draymond going to Draymond.

that was a consolation prize. would rather have had a competitive finals. the refs and Lue made sure that wasn't going to happen. but LOLOLOLOLOLOL @ Binky still not having a Finals MVP in 4 straight trips

also fuck Braymond, I can't wait until that dude starts losing and his "hee-haw" act finally gets the penalties it deserves

I still love that 2016 team, forever. Even Kyrie. I hate Donkeylips for crying to KD all season so that he could join their BS team, which in effect broke up the Cleveland GOATs.

Everything GS's path hasn't been since Durant joined.

Even before then, IMO. that 2015 title was mostly built on LeBron's "help" being out due to injury. People will see RANG, CHOKE, RANG, RANG and conclude that they were all-timers, but NOPE.

Durant basically forfeited what Ovie (and LeBron, Dirk, even someone like Paul Pierce, etc.) achieved with their titles.

Time heals wounds.

Fucking Brian Bosworth was HATED by OU, Switzer and his coach towards the end of his career there.

I watch OU Football reruns that air on the local Fox Sports affiliates. Dude is always on the sidelines, getting cheers from fans, and things of that note. He has pizzas and stuff named after him.

Kyrie, JR, and Thompson will be thought of in the same manner. They'll come back. People will wax nostalgic about 2016, how they did the impossible, Kyrie will get his number retired. etc.
