Cedar Point 2016

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lines are definitely getting more bearable as they add more coasters. I was just there a month ago. Didn't wait longer than 45 minutes for anything. I remember the days of waiting 2 hours to get on Millennium. Magnum was basically walk right on as were a few other rides.

One thing I wish they'd get under control is Top Thrill. Broke like 3 separate times and we got out of line each time only for it to start back up. Finally got on it, but only because we were determined.

Previous records were 213ft. drop and 71mph.

Looks fun.

best part about it is it is just another roller coaster that will make other lines shorter.

I haven't been in a few years, so will probably head there next year.

I expect this in Baltimore, but Cleveland?

I saw a rendering of the ride in action...looks lame. No originality anymore.....same thing over and over.

Pass.

Well, it's in Sandusky, so there's that.

Apparently there is a "vending machine" where you can win a 2016 season pass.

absolutely cant stand when people say Cedar Point is in Cleveland...I am from Sandusky and its a hour from Cleveland...

Was there last weekend after not having gone for a few years. A few things I noticed:

1) Rides seemed to be breaking down with great frequency that day. Not sure why, but about half the coasters were broken down at some point during the day over Labor Day weekend. I don't know whether this is a regular occurrence now or not.

2) They really need to get a handle on the spider problem in the park. I am not bothered by spiders much, but it is almost comical how flooded the park is with them. It is very bad. If my wife were with me, I'm not sure we would have made it. :chuckle:

It's usually in every comeback to when people make fun of Cleveland. Followed by a hospital, museums that every city has and Cuyahoga National Park.

I do remember that the last time I went years ago. There would always be big ass spiders in the corners in the lines and by the food concession stands. It is just a great area for them to be in.

I guess they could spray, but then you would worry about spiders just flying down on peoples heads when they die :chuckle: The only thing they could do is just have cleaning crew/pest control go through every single night/couple nights and flush em out/vacuum em out.

I sprayed outside my house the other day and woke up yesterday morning and there was a big ass spider curled up in front of my front door by my shoes. Glad the stuff actually works. But kinda got the chills that it crawled through the shit and got inside before it actually died. I have been shaking my shoes out before I put em on the past couple days :gay:

Going to Cedar Point for the first time this weekend, any recommendations? Must do's? Etc.

Probably getting the Fast Lane or Fast Lane Plus pass as I'd like to hit all the good coasters in one day if that's possible.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely get the Fast Lane Plus. It'll burn your wallet for sure, but there's no other way to do it, IMO.

We went a couple weeks ago, and never waited more than 15 min for a ride with it.

Gatekeeper is ultra fun in the front car, and the new Valravyn is super fun, but really short. I would've been disappointed if I had waited the full 2.5 hours, but it was worth every bit of the 5 min Fast Lane wait.

If you've actually never been there, the Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster are musts.

Also, I don't remember what it's called, but get the Ride and Refresh?... maybe that's it... ticket. You get unlimited free Coke's / Fountain Drinks / Water all day.

Whatever you do buy your tickets and pass if you get it online

The ticket I'm using is a free admission pass, can I buy the fast lane pass only online up front? What is the advantage of doing online?

Get a fast pass. I won't go without one. I don't know how recent your last rollercoaster was, but it'll bring you back to the best days. Love that place.
