Cedar Point 2016

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
and before that I had a gold pass to Kings Island like 15 years ago when I lived in Mason. Man I miss that.

Never been there and now with me living in Cbus, I have to check it out next Spring.

I have never bought a Fast Pass, but I have only gone to Cedar Point on weekdays when school was still in session. So it's not as bad and the longest I had to wait for a ride (generally Millennium Force, Top Thrill or the western quick one) was an hour tops.

But I haven't been there on a weekend, especially during Halloweekends.

I also heard though that the rides on Halloweekends aren't THAT bad, b/c everyone is waiting in line for haunted houses and walking through that scare zone shit.

But other people can give better insight.

When is it open during the week? Right now it's only open on weekends.

Holy fucking shit

The website says $80 for Fast Lane Plus on its tickets page, but when I go in to buy it it jacks up to a fucking $150

For people that have used it before, is that right?

@theSTEREO. . @Huber. . @Soda . @SixPACK

I see why. It's $80 on Friday and Sunday and $150 on Saturdays. Saturdays during the Halloween season is probably the busiest time of the year.

...Whoa... I went on an August Friday, and it was either $95 or $105. I can't remember.

Like I said, it feels like a fortune. But the way I looked at it, I only get to go once every few years, and you can get in like 3 visits' worth of rides. So it just depends on how much you wanna skip the lines.

Longest I've ever waited without a Fast Lane was 3.5 hours. Longest ever with Fast Lane was 45, and like I said, this year I don't think I even waited 15 min.

They have an app now too that will tell you wait times.

Edit: Meant longest, not fastest.

Not now, I believe. Now since Halloweekends is here, they aren't open during the week.

On your Fast Lane+, I can see it going up on Saturday. It is the busiest days during Halloweekends, of course.

I am not sure where to get them outside of CP, I believe it is just there. Don't think you can buy them from Meijer, Kroger, AAA, etc..

If I were you, just to save the extra dough, get to the park early. Maybe see if you can get early admission tickets. Right when you get into CP, go straight to either (a) Valravn; (b) Maverick; (c) Top Thrill or (d) Gatekeeper. You will knock one of those out right away with very little to no wait. Then go to the next one (maybe plan it so you can go to 2 that are right by each other, like Top Thrill and Valravn). Then use your Fast Pass to ride all the rides you want to that are covered under the FP. When it gets later and the haunted stuff starts opening, hit up Maverick, some more on your walk back to the front of the park, then on your way out, the very last ride, make it Gatekeeper since it is closer to the exit.

That is what I would do, but if you can fork out the extra $50 or whatever it is for the FP+, do that. And as STEREO said, if you plan on riding coasters multiple times, especially those 4 that aren't on the regular FP, maybe it is worth it.

A very underrated ride which is by the Gatekeeper is the maXair. Wait is never more than like 10-20min.

Sounds right, to be honest. Still worth it, if you ask me.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I'm still willing to pay for the FL+ but I gotta talk to my buddy lol

I assume you mean "longest" was 45 minutes. Which is great. I'd say it's worth it. I still have fun without the fast pass but I always wish I got it. You spend half the day literally waiting in line if you don't have it, makes it hard to hit everything you want to.

Yup, longest. I'll fix that.

Cedar Point was amazing. Not sure how recently you guys have gone but the newest ride that broke all the records, Valravn, is just incredible. Gatekeeper is another relatively new ride that kicked ass. Millennium Force was the bomb. Maverick was great. Top Thrill Dragster was wild. Pretty much all the coasters there are awesome though, even the "less than amazing" ones.

Also, fast pass is the only way to go, I'll never go back. We got to ride all the good rides, and the best rides twice by 7pm. Theres no way we could have done half of that without the fast pass. Dont think I'll ever spend half my day (or more) waiting in line again.

It definitely lived up to the hype.

Cedar point has a $80 cyber Monday admission and fast lane special. Can be used any day other than Saturday.
