Channing Frye

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Channing Frye upfaking and putting it on the floor should have its own name....Cause its atrocious....

It should just be called forbidden.

As in, Lue should forbid him from doing it ever.

Bogut would laugh until he cried watching film of Frye.

I think it was just too many minutes that he played (30+ average over the previous 4 games (not including tonight's game VS the Bucks).

He still has a role on this team. But without Love, it's clear they need Frye to hit those open threes, because he's primarily the only guy 6'10+ who can properly stretch the floor.

Also, if we fill in another big man for the time being, that will give us 3 guys who (for the most part) play as bigs.

Guess you could say that Channing...

Got "fryed"

He's playing a role above his ability right now, and it's showing. Teams are attacking him all game long, and a guy who offers nothing outside of 3 point shooting, unless it's a transcendant shooter like Korver, simply isn't good enough to be playing such big minutes.

He's been through more personal shit this season than a lot of people can even fathom too. I feel for the guy, but he's simply not giving the team enough to be on the court as much as he is.

I agree.

However, he usually makes up for his deficiencies by being a knock down shooter.

He picked a hell of a time to have a big slump. I mean, his release doesn't even look good right now.

As long as he finds it by the playoffs, all we need from him is about 12-15 minutes off the bench burying threes.

Why is he so bad now?

Hes not put in a position to succeed. He's best, 15m off the bench, literally only to bomb threes and be tall.

We're asking.him to try and rebound , defend, play pick and roll as the roll man, battle down low, etc...He's not cut out for that stuff. Never has been.

The end of the Bogut era(lol) really sucks.for that reason. He was sposed to take a lot of pressure off of Channing. Now he simply has to continue to do what he can until Love gets back.

I get that he's miscast in his role and playing about 5-10 more minutes than he should be.

That said, he can't even make open threes right now--his one skill.

He needs about a week off to get his legs back because if he isn't shooting, he isn't doing anything for us.

You certainly learn to appreciate Kevin Love's defense while watching Channing play.

That skill has diminished because of the need to try and fill in elsewhere, is what I'm saying.

He could use a game or two off tho...But won't happen. We have like 2 bigs . Lol
