My point is the fact the people actually protesting are white and not Native Americans. If the people who are supposed to be offended aren't then why are you?

Also use the logo to help Native americas with a certain percentage of sales goes to them. Or redesign Wahoo in a way that isn't racist. Let the Native people vote to keep it or not rather than let the white folk keep dictating things

Oh, and Florida St using Seminoles is just a weeee bit different than using the term Indians. For one, FSU actually works with the Seminole tribe, honors some of their traditions, and I believe offers scholarships.

The term "Indians" comes from a guy who "discovered" a land that people already inhabited, initiated slave trade routes, and mistreated native people.


"Hey I have a great idea for an appropriate logo...let's use a distasteful characterization of an ethnic group that was nearly wiped off the Earth. Also, let's call it a name they take offense to. Sounds great!"

How do you even "work with the tribes" when they aren't representing an actual tribe? Scrap the name and logo. It's long overdue. Spider's would be great. Maybe something related to music with the rock hall.

I think the masses should be allowed to vote on it and also I am thinking history of Cleveland it would end up being spiders since that was another team name for Cleveland a long time ago
 
Why not the Cleveland Naps? It is unique, we have a history with the name, and it doesn't sound like a some stupid minor league shit. Plus we can have a goofy smiling white guy as our logo to honor Nap Lajoie.
